Im trying to decided whether i want to get an apple or PC laptop for christmas. I dont really have much experience on either, i can only do the basic things, like go on the internet and type up in a Word document!
I mainly will want it in the future to maybe have fashion programs, if there are any. Im not really sure, so does anyone have any opinions either way??
i like the look of the apple, but im not sure if i should just buy a laptop cos i think it looks cool!?

Gosh, that's a hard question. ( I used the word gosh.) First of all what fashion programs? IMO, I love apple and recieved my experience in school using iMovie and Appleworks. I used to have a PC but I got a virus and it was about 5 years old and decided (for the better) to make the switch to a MAC.

Here is some of the gists:
pros: it definitely looks better; less prone to crashes and viruses (at least for now :innocent:); programs for creating movies, photos, quality of them iMovie/iPhoto/Quicktime compared to Windows Media are superior, much more superior
cons: Appleworks- Appleworks just doesn't compare to Microsoft Office. And buying it will set you back a pair of designer jeans. Like mentioned before in one post, some sites don't synchronize with Mac's Safari or Firefox (internet application)

In terms of easy use, that really depends on the person. I found that with time and a lot of use, you are automactically in sync with either computer (like all other devices and gadgets). If you have any questions, just PM me. :flower:

Thanks tott!

I agree you don't get the problems wth viruses like PC's(touch wood) and als noticed you don't get a lot of pop up windows either which is great as I can't stand them.

I'm hoping to get a remote from my G5 soon. What accessories do you guys have for your Apples.

finally, after 3 months of having a broken lcd, i got my ibook back.

but i lost my G5 as my boyfriend and i broke up and we bought it together.

We were given an ibook at school for 2 years in 8th and 9th grade and it was the wrost thing ever, so were the iMacs our school used to use. I really preffer PCs :)

I'm head over heels in love with my iBook. The switch was very easy and painless and I just love my new mac  After I had mine for a week, my computer geeky husband went out and bought his first mac, a powerbook ^_^

They started us off on Macs in primary school and, although currently a PC user, I'd love to go back to using Mac. I'd love to get a Powerbook  ^_^.

I love Apple, but I hate how microsoft has a monopoly on all the software out there. :(

I've been a pc user pretty much all my life. My school uses macs though and its that time to pick one laptop out of the billion that are out there. Originally, I thought that I wanted a powerbook, but i've had really really bad experiences with ipods and though they're not that related, it just makes me wary of what my relationship with my powerbook would be like...

I love my dual 2.8 G5 with 23' cinema display.
:p

me = bragging apple nerd.^_^

I have had problem after problem with my Compaq Presario. I am definietly buying a Mac now. Anyone know the best one?
