Australia's Next Top Model

Link to some of Alice's work in the new Myer catalogue

ALICE Burdeu was rumoured to be on the verge of giving up modelling, but now her career has taken off in a major way.

According to insiders there is a massive overseas brand campaign in the
wings. On August 19 Burdeu will step out on to the runway for the Myer Spring/Summer 09/10 show.

If this recent advertising campaignfor Myer is anything to go by, Burdeu is really going to turn heads.

WA's Next Top Model winner Tahnee Atkinson has secured a six-month contract with fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar - just two weeks after winning the show.
Part of the model's prize included a feature spread in the Australian glossy, but since meeting Atkinson, Harper's decided to extend her contract.

The deal guarantees Atkinson, 17, will model exclusively for Harper's for six months, with her first shoot in August.

Priscilla's Model Management agent Jasmine Daly said it was a valuable opportunity for Atkinson.

"Harper's only works with the very best,'' she said.

Article about Cassi's signing with Tanya Powell

With Gardner's wider career now being managed by Viviens in Sydney and IMG in New York, one would hope that all is not lost for van den Dungen. And both van den Dungen and Tanya Powell should take on board the fact that, since van den Dungen is evidently not under any kind of non-compete agreement with the management agency affiliated with ANTM, ie Priscillas, every other major Australian agency that is headquartered in Sydney would be very keen to sign her up immediately.

The essential difference here however is the fact that while an unknown Gardner went from a small agency to bigger agencies, van den Dungen made a name for herself in a high-profile television competition, had offers from big agencies, but has chosen to go in the reverse direction.

Van den Dungen is booked to shoot for Portmans on Saturday – a web campaign is all Stefano could tell frockwriter, adding that she rejoined the agency immediately after the ANTM finale.

Reports Stefano, "We're speaking to lots of different companies. She’s definitely very keen to be a model. We are doing her comp card, she went for a casting yesterday, she’s on the way. At the moment she wants to basically do as much as she can in Melbourne. If you’ve got a good product it doesn’t matter who represents her".

Article about Cassi's shoot with Portmans

Some photos from Cassi's shoot with Portmans

SHE may have knocked back New York, but Sunbury model Cassi Van Den Dungen's Australian career is up and running in style.

The runner-up from the latest series of Australia's Next Top Model was praised for her professionalism when she flew to Sydney for a Saturday shoot with Portmans.

And while the 17-year-old's outspokenness caused conflict on the Foxtel show, her new clients said her ambitious attitude made the shoot of 38 outfit changes a breeze.

Van Den Dungen stunned the fashion world when she turned down a contract with New York model agency Elite to stay in Sunbury with her boyfriend Brad Saul.

She later signed up with smaller local agency Tanya Powell.

The clothes from the shoot show off one of Portman's bold new summer looks.

Portmans spokeswoman Amy Hoare said Cassi's "sophisticated high-fashion look" fitted well with Portmans, whose previous faces include Australian Victoria's Secret angel Miranda Kerr.

Article about Cassi signing to Work Agency

Link to Work Agency

Frockwriter can reveal that van den Dungen has now signed a contract with the Sydney-based Work Agency. A boutique agency that reps photographers, hair and makeup artists, stylists and 14 models, it is operated by Helena Vitolins, who reports that she signed van den Dungen 10 days ago and that Work Agency organised the Portmans gig. Vitolins also reps Nicole Bentley who shot the campaign. Vitolins reports that her biggest model names are Holly Thompson, who has shot for Vogue Australia and Siew Longhorn - who has worked for Calvin Klein Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger and, last week, The Gap. But arguably the agency’s most high profile name in any field to date is photographer Carlotta Moye, who recently shot Miranda Kerr for the cover of Australian Rolling Stone.

Vitolins reports that van den Dungen has a lot of job options. However she declined to clarify whether or not these options are completely different, or one and the same, to those mentioned yesterday by Tanya Powell - which remains van den Dungen's mother agency.

"Her chart is full" is all Vitolins would say.

^Thats what I always thought.

anyone know why they changed the prize of agencies? It used to be like a 2 year cntract with chic an dthen it was changed to 1 year with priscillas

chic didnt want to do another season. they opted out. if it was measured in money terms i dont think the success of the season one winner would've made them even consider not doing another season. chloe was taken on by Chic as well, but just wasnt a model so she never really worked.

some updates :)

Lola has been signed apparently, and i guess even before the finale aired since i saw this photo on her facebook profile once

i've said it before a thousand times, but she is a Hilary Rhoda Clone!!!!
and she's my fave of the cycle ^_^

and i also thought this shot of adele is nice too, but she needs to dye her hair, her natural colour suits her way more than the cheapest shade of red [or should i say orange ]

has anyone know what happened to Leah Johnson? She was my favorite from the beginning. I just love her eyes. :)

Apparently I read in Grazia awhile back that Lola is working in American Apparel in Oxford St

No clue what happened to Alex-typically runners-up do sign with agencies, but very few of them are kept on. I have a feeling that Alex went back to her career and everything, and if she did more power to her.

She is still with Priscilla's, but hasn't had any work that I know of. For her own good, I hope she went back to uni/work.

i saw and photographed Caris on friday night at the opening night of the Perth Fashion Festival and didn't even recognise her, she is looking amazing!

Aww Caris, thanks for the candids, I hope she will get booked a lot. Looks pretty !

I liked Adele (she wasn't one of my favorites but I liked her enough) but she never looks relaxed in her pictures. I don't think she's "stiff" exactly, just somehow not relaxed looking

Then we have to disagree :) I don't think people who look dead/icy in the eyes are beautiful no matter how great bone structure they may have.

i think it's because when someone has an awful and mean attitude like demeelza did in the show, you can never really see past that, thats the way i see it anyway..
