I really like the blue one on the left but I don't like the chain shoulder strap. It looks kind of backpack-like, doesn't it? Especially at the top of the bag it looks like there are two straps going around the back.
BTW: Any love for "The Metro" here? If anyone has one and would like to post a modeling shot, that would be super-duper!

I was wondering if any of you could give me some advice.

I was bought a black city earlier this year (feb/march), but I have noticed that the tassels are all splitting (I don't know if that's the right way to describe it...). I like to think that I take care of my bags, so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if anyone could tell me what to do about it.

^^ it's normal--there's nothing you can do. kind of adds to the overall look IMO. if they bother you, get extra tassels from bal nyc and they will sell them to you.

us true bal aficianados love split tassels, the more, the merrier!
think motorcycle tassels, the true inspiration.
btw, the original bal moto bags from seasons 1 -3 were made with single sided strings, le dix model.

it's normal for the tassel to split. you can get leather glue and glue them together if u want.

None of my Bal bags has split tassels. Apparently I behave very well with my bags.

It depends on the leather used - some of my tassles has split really quickly while others are still pristine after much use. Some leathers just seem more flimsy than others I guess, but split tassles are definitely common with Bal bags unfortunately..

i was in selfridges the other day (i told the SA more about the bag than he knew) and they have the new seasonal bags in and IMO they are ugly , they look like they have used the left overs to make it like the main is white and then the detailing like handles and corners are in green and red , the purple is nice that they have done this season

do you rotate your bals very frequently??
i agree some split more than the other...my ink split like crazy..
