How to Staighten Bangs

Hello ladies,

I have a question. I just got bangs and when I came out from the salon I looked hot but since then I washed my hair and I tried to straighten the bang as the stylist told me (with a brush and blow dryer, bush straight down then on a side then straight down then on the other side and so on till it dries) but it just doesn’t look the same and I still get some curls. Do you girls know any better way of doing ? Maybe some products that I could use, preferably organic?
My bangs look something Irina Lazarescu's

Thanks :D

^ Your best bet is to just blow dry them on a cool, high setting. Blow dry them side to side, from underneath then above top, straight down. Once they're dry, brush them. If you need to, style them with a straightener on a low setting, or, use a paddle brush to style after blow drying. This has worked for me, I had the same problem !
I wouldn't put any product in your bangs - they'll get greasy fast and some products have the potential to make your forehead breakout, even if it is organic.
Hope this helps !

okay so i want to get bangs this weekend.

so, which one do you think will suit me the best?

Coco@ you need to provide the source for the pictures not of yourself, it's tFS policy :flower:

Coco@...hon, they all seem to be the same to me...but, I like it and think that it will suit you:flower:

Coco@, if you have wavy/curly hair it's probably going to be a pain in the ___ to style your bangs all the time. I should know! It's pretty damaging and fried bangs don't look good, so I try to cut down on the heat styling on my bangs and pin them back.

It's been 2 months since I got a hair cut, but I would like to just trim my bangs. They are long now! When I got the hair cut I was told I can come for free trims. Can I still go and ask for a free trim after 2 months? If yes, how much should I tip? Thanks!:D

i love the asymmetrical fringe! i'll love to change my fringe into something similar but i'm quite scared it won't suit me!

^You should try it just to have fun, even if doesn't look that good, you can still scare some people ! :p

I'm tired of my bangs I straighten them and straighten them some more but by the middle of the day they get wavy. I don't have curly hair it's just easily effected by humidity I guess... is there anything that will make them stay straight?! :flower:

You can always trim yourself! =]
Easy, mistake-free way to do it: gather your bangs and twist them together, then trim. That way the longer, outer pieces still remain the same length.

I got bangs cut a few months ago but I've let them grow out now purely because ive been too lazy to go get a haircut!!

this is me with them:

im thinking of having them cut back but i cant make up my mind!

i guess i feel more "fashionable" with them, but how long will it be fashionable? probably as soon as i get them cut back in!!

sorry for the photo overload!

brokenscreen, you look absolutely divine with bangs! I would keep them long but trim them when they get past your eyelash line!

Ok I LOVE he last picture that BrokenScreen posted of herself, like how her bangs are there. How would I request that to my hair stylist?
