ick! i was at target a few days ago and this line sucks!!! the materials used are really cheap. i wanted to look at the faux persian lamb coat (as i am a conesiuer of types for vintage ashtrakan and persian lamb, i have like four real ones) and boy was it uber cheap! it's all shiny and LOOKs like nylon. and for $89????? i could go on ebay and get the real deal for the same price! the leopard print coat wasn't much better. i started lusting after it after seeing it in a magazine add. thinking back to kate moss and her leopard jet setting style found in style shots from vogue years ago....much to my dissapointment, the add was photoshoped very much. the color level was saturated. in real life, that leopard print coat looked like a sad, used and pilling hookers coat!the color is very faded looking, the pile is aweful. i know my faux furs and working at a fabric store, i have seen some AMAZING FAUX FURS!!!! these furs used on the jackets are VERY low quality, the leopard is very faded and looks like it should be used on stuffed animals for WWF and NOT clothing! the persian lamb is VERY shiny and nylon-like and i dont like the way they treated the closure in front. you would think that they would take advantage of the new advances in faux fur textiles, and use something nice on these coats if they are going to charge that much!
the rest of it seemed very boring to me with the exception of the lace cardigan, which i didn't bother to try on because, once again...it seemed like cheap materials and something i could whip up at home much easier.
i had a girl come into my work with the lace duffle too. i noticed it right away. it is HUGE, and looks so much better in pics. it was a nice idea, but the execution looks, once again, cheap and underdeveloped from a design standpoint. without the photo aided stuffing, the bag looks like a big mess of a raincoat bunched up with straps.....
