she seems like one of the more logical choices for Target, I'm sure she will turn out some great stuff for them that will sell well in this economy

I hope it's better than the McQueen collection. I was disappointed overall.

why do i smell a lot of t-shirts and lots of very simple cut dresses in 5 different prints?

i agree. it's not my personal cuppa but it is quite logical. anna sui is a lot more trendy and she has an established buzz regarding that nature. i think it will be much more successful for target. as for what to expect,i can only suspect it will be very retro and ethnic.

Wow, well I'm really curious to see what she comes up with. Could either be seriously cute or seriously awful.

I'm actually surprised they didn't use her sooner.

    too much junior stuff...:judge:

    what about the women's stuff?...
i thought that the designer collaborations were going to fill in for the space left by mizrahi leaving...?
    *btw-did mizrahi even leave?
seems like they still have mizrahi stuff in stores and on the site...

and the designer collabs are all targeted at a junior(teen/20's) customer...
this is confusing if you ask me...

    :ermm:

^you raise a great point, softie. i thought it was supposed to be a bit more mature this direction as well. somehow it's actually contradictory to the premise....i've seen more grown-up stuff in the GO lines if you compare it to the style of anna sui.

I hope not! But then I was excited for McQueen's line and when I went to Target to check it out, I was disappointed. Left empty-handed.

When do you guys expect her lookbook for this collection will be out?

Anna Sui is amazing and I believe that this collaboration will be the best yet for Target. I know, I know we have said this before but I really feel @ peace with this joint venture!

I hope she doesn't cop out with t-shirts like some of the other designers. If you don't sell t-shirts in your mainline I don't think you should be offering them just because you're creating clothes for Target.
