Behnaz Sarafpour for Target

I hope she does some tops with the bow-tie. Those are really cute from her regular collection.

i just wish they put up the high def photo's though! But the dresses look really cute, I like that better materials were used. I adore the mini-velvet dresses...

Oh, I just realized you could view the collection, thanks for the link. It looks pretty nice! definitely more formal than the previous go international collections.

...but I would be concerned about how this is going to do if I worked for target, because while I dont mind buying casual peices at target, I probably wouldnt buy evening wear there. (I do not get dressed up often, so if I do, I would rather not buy it at target) I dont know if anyone else feels this way, and maybe I am being too snooty :innocent:

This looks like it's going to be the best yet! I can't wait! I'm not feeling Paul and Joe, maybe the next wave of merch will be more to my liking.

I really like the pics from what I can see! I esp like the tweed trench, the patent leather jacket (although I have enough short jackets!), the georgette layered dress, and that plum dress with the long gloves for a more formal occasion. I'm looking forward to getting a better look at the large pics and the clothes in person in a couple months. It looks much better than Tara Jarmon (but don't all the collections?!). :)

kellyt: I say, if you like something, then who cares where it comes from! If it is nice & to your liking, then the place of purchase/label does not matter.

I like the jade satin miniskirt and the plum silk tank with ribbon detail. From what I can see of the pics.

meh.

i'll believe it's this cute once it's in the stores. the whole target thing has been a major letdown, imho.

I didn't think that I could love Target any more than I already do, but Behnaz Sarafpour's line proved me wrong!

im actually disapointed with this collection for go international. it looks like a bunch of blah basics with a cute jacket or cardigan thrown in here and a cute skirt there. almost like old banana republic. i like paul and joe because you can get a piece and work it into your wardrobe, and it has that quirkiness to it. i dont like this collection because it basically looks like stuff i could buy in the mossimo brand and pick up at macys on clearance, especially the leopard jacket and persian lamb jacket and tapestry skirt. these were all over the place last fall. kinda unoriginal and boring IMO.

^ I completly agree - only I was thinking it looked more like Isaac Mizrahi than Mossimo. I just don't think that Behnaz can translate into Target - just like Tara Jarmon couldn't.

Wow, I love the dresses, thank goodness I'm getting a job.

I like:
taffeta dress w/ lace trim
long gloves (heck yes, I am a glove person)
lace-trim cardigan
lace miniskirt
ribbed tank w/ lave
satin/velvet skirt
twill trench (I must have it)
lace print duffel bag
tiered miniskirt
brocade skirt
brocade clutch
leopard jacket
silk ruffle blouse (I detest silk, however it's my favourite colour)
satin miniskirt
silk henley
velvet Bermudas

This doesn't have as much of the cheap stuff like say, Tara Jarmon, as a lot of items are over $40. However the taffeta dresses are so gorgeous. I think that the trench, the duffel, or the taffeta dress might be the "hot item" like the TJ colourblock dress or P&J owl bag.
BTW Kimberlyn Parris is the black model wearing these (I think). She's the same one in the Paul & Joe commercials.

i'm waiting to see the items in person, or at least in better photos, but it looks very ladylike and classic. which is personally not my thing (the paul & joe collection suits the arty-crafty bohemian thing going on in my closet better), but i'm already wondering if it's possible to somehow work those velvet shorts into a whimsical holiday soiree outfit of sorts?

i also am really intrigued by that lace duffel bag...maybe it'll replace my boring gym bag!

A lot of the common aesthetics of Sarafpour's fall collection are here. (i.e. the colors black, white, ivory... and same with the lace and short dresses) Just seems like an idle rehash, IMO. I doubt the quality of the dresses would be any better either...

Target must be disappointed with the route this GO International line has taken... :innocent:

I kept one thing out of all the Go Intl collections so far (P&J black floral camisole). And I had anticipated every new release.

Which tells me that I had fallen victim to hype. So while I like a couple of things from this collection, I'm afraid that I don't hold out much hope that reality will meet with expectation.

I'm interested in this faux persian lamb jacket - could be very cute for going out:

why can't they give us pictures with more detail - Is that too much to ask for Target?

perhaps it's a little too early.

But when the detailed pics DO come out, I'll definitely save my favorite ones to the hard drive!
