Thanks. I think the pictures on stylites.net show that Beijingers aren't just copying Japan:

things are a little undone here - it's rough and tumble kind of city, but it's very artistic as well

It's not just cuteness like in other Asian cities. Sure, you could say it's not fashionable, but there is a certain distinct character, no?

Hey, this guy is working with limited resources, both in terms of inspirations and money.
