did you not go to an open day? the open day answered all my questions the students were chavs, the clothes were not creative and most of the open day the tutors were slagging off saint martins rarther than telling us about there own school lol:rolleyes:

sugarbabefairy as long as the schools good for you thats all that matters :flower:

You really can't make general comments, like what is the best school in general. Some schools are great in some areas but quite crap in others (ie.St.Martins known for design  but completely crap in fashion management. Vice-versa for LCF)

and honestly... id rather have a college put up my name at the top of their alumni and make them famous rather than the other way around...

when will people learn to think like that..

FIT isn't horrible.

I lived through 5 years of school there.. came out with 3 degrees. You get what you put into your college experience.

one should not make opinions based on a day that they spent at a college... and make it sound like they have done a thesis on the college or subject...

this is just a general point i'd like to make, for all future references...

^ i should mention then that i spent about a year and a half researching, and visiting that school (aswell as others)- it just wasnt for me:flower:

im doing fashion promotion, i didnt even look at st martins because it is alot more design based which isnt my thing but i see your points. I got quite a good vibe from LCF but i hear stories about "stuck up" ness, i guess its a bit of a fahsion thing!

some places like the university of the arts have such high reputations that maybe they feel they don t need to make the effort

^ thats probably right about making the effort.
and yeah the stuck thing, yeah definatly a fashion thing:lol:

:woot: ^ did you go there bleedoll? or heard of people who have?

It has got an excellent reputation from what I've heard, I plan to go there next year.

University of Northumbria (newcastle UK) :flower:

im there right now! im loving the course so far, although i have only been there a week!

i had my first encounter with an industrial sewing machine yesterday! they go far too fast:ninja:

to concur:

Royal Academy in Antwerp(or Flanders Fashion Institute to be specific)
Bunka of Japan
Rhode Island School of Design
Royal College of Art in London
Middlesex University

San Francisco art school looks really interesting too. New head teacher from London.

I can't say much for Parsons,FIT and CSM because frankly of all I heard, they're really quite overrated.
