Best Lip Balm

Don't buy any lip balms with Petroleum. Petroleum dehydrates you lips. So avoid Vaseline + Carex and most of those over the counter products. Completely pointless. I know it feels like its helping but all its doing is coating your lips in a nice big sticky wet feeling coating which makes you think that you lips are cured even though you have to apply it on the hour every hour all through winter.....

Try some of the natural lip balms, buy organic natural companies, Burts Bees do several excellent product's, one for chapped lips, one for protection against chapped lips, one for light gloss....they're about €8 each and you can but them in Health food stores and Oasis Clothes stores are now stocking the lip glosses (which are very similar to the balms but have no curing properties)
the Burt's Bees Website is www.burtsbees.com or look directly at some of the Lip products and buy them cheaply online at
http://www1.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&categoryId=10007&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10001

The only problem is that they're not particulary glamourous:ninja: but they have been turning up in magazines alot recently. Marie Claire voted the Burts Bees Blemish Stick the second best on the market, coming second to Clinique's.

Another option is Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream, perfect for sore lips, but you have to buy a body-lotion sized tube for about €20...

I just stole my sister's

Neurogena Honey Lip Salve or whatever its called. I loooooove it.

rosebud, lip venom, this natural health aloe vera balm (i don't remember the name, but it's pale yellow), nivea balm...........

Cargo lipgloss in Flin Flon... I like how it feels on my lips.. but it seems as though the color is discontinued.

I have tried quite a few, either they are too greasy feeling and doesn't absorb, or too medicated and doesn't really moisturize. I think Kiss My Face brand works really really well in any of the scents. I like apple or strawberry. Also, bonne belle works really well! surprisingly. Just the chapstick form, not gloss.

I like Burt's Bees and DCT when my lips are really chapped. Otherwise, Smith's Rosebud works fine for a little pink gloss.

I use a Danish product. "Vaseline".

But I hardly use it. My lips aren't dry so often.

My lips used to be dry and flaky all the time. i tried a lot of lip balms and stuff but they all just seemed to put an extra layer over the dry skin, not moisturise my lips. that was until my friend told me to try Mentholatum's SoftLips. it's my favourite now and my lips are very smooth. it's very smooth when you apply it. it's very cheap too! i got it for $3 (australian)

I have always had a chapped lips problem tried everything....finally found my holy grail lip balm....smiths original rosebud salve

I have been on a search for probably for the last few years for the perfect lip balm. I have severe chapped lips all the time so i am constantly applying gloss and balm. Anyway, I have come across the best two balms. Sugar by Fresh, I believe it is $22.00. It smells and tastes great and is not sticky, it absorbs into your lips. The second is Aqua Di Parma, Blu Mediterraneo, Arancia. If a lip balm can smell beautiful, this would be it. It was difficult for me to find. I bought a new one off of ebay for 27.00. I think it retails for the same price. These 2 balms have been the best I have used. Especially the Sugar, I was really amazed!

i love my rosebud salve for $5. makes my lips soft and gives a little tiny color.

I'm currently using Aveeno Essential moisture (SPF 15) with Jojoba oil and Shea Butter...

It tastes really good actually :p .. but my problem with it is that its really shiny... but it seems to work really well...

I have a question though... is it normal to put on lip balm before you go to bed.. I always slather it on.. since I dont care if it looks oily since I'm going to bed.. and then in the morning my lips are all soft and smooth... does anyone else do this?
