Best Sunscreen

Anyone else have a problem with sunblock bleaching the collar of their cloth? Are there specific ingredients to avoid to prevent this from happening? I also notice this happening with antiperspirants.

So many of my good quality, expensive shirts have been ruined by nasty antiperspirants :(

My favorite SS is Sofina PurfectUV Lucent. It goes on so smoothly and not at all greasy, and it sort of just absorbs.

I'm obsessed with sunscreen! During the warm months of the year I tend to go through several bottles of it. I like to use spray-on sunscreen and then apply bottled sunscreen later on. The spray-on version is so convenient when you're in a rush for time, or just don't want to go through the hassle of rubbing lotion in your skin. I used it while on vacation in California and emerged with only a slight, healthy tan. :D

Has anyone ever tried LancomeUV Expert 20 with MEXORYL™ SX Face & Body Protection? I was wondering if it's greasy.

I am still searching for a great sunscreen, I recently tried one by Ligne St. Barth and it was decent - until I had to wash my face FOUR times to remove the thick, sticky residue. I think I will next try Anthelios XL, since I have been wanting to try it for years and never did (and I have no idea why:unsure:).

I can't live without my Shisedo Anessa sunscreen SPF 50+++ in summer. I swim a lot during the whole summer(3 times per week, mostly in the morning or afternoon for 2hrs), that's why i always get really really tanned(not the skin colour i want unfortuntely.:judge:) and Anessa saved my skin from getting over-tanned/burnt/freckles after my 10000000000th attempt using those recommended products. well,, one of the bad/good point about it is that it's highly resistant, too high that i have to use a special body cleanser to remove it, or my pores will be blocked and result in acnes.

I like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Visibly Even Daily SPF 15 Moisturizer. It's not greasy and it's lightweight.

mingminglei, I just posted about Sofina Perfect UV in the fair skin thread.
I've been reading reviews for Sofina Perfect UV (UV cut milk Extra Block) SPF 50 + PA +++ on makeupalley and thinking of trying it.
Where you do buy it? I can only find it on ebay.

agneslo, is Shisedo Anessa sunscreen SPF 50+++ better then Sofina? I'm trying to fade my freckles and I need really good sun protection.

-Thanks

I've written about this sunscreen here before, I think, but the La Roche-Posay Anthelios is amazing! I'm naturally very pale and I can't really tan (I just burn) and this is a life-saver, especially when I'm going to be somewhere warm/sunny. Here's a review: http://www.3luxe.com/best_ofs/Sunscreen/La_Roche-Posay_Anthelios_SX_SPF_15 It's pretty moisturizing too - I use it every day under my makeup.

I actually worked for a cosmetic dermatologist a while ago and it was always her favorite - she used to tell her patients to stock up while they were in Europe! Fortunately, it's now available in the U.S. - I think you can even order it from Amazon.

limo,i think it depends. If you do water sports a lot like me, Anessa will be a better choice. If not, Sofina will be good enough for your daily use^_^

Right now I'm using dermalogica super-sensitive chemical-free SPF30. I have oily, sensitive skin that breaks out easily, and I haven't had any problems with it ...

Btw, I also bought Neutrogena, I think SPF55 or so ... 75? I forget ... Anyway, I can't use it on my face, it's irritating. It's OK on my hands & neck. The texture suffers from the high SPF ...

Thanks agneslo :D

I don't do a lot of water sports, mostly yoga, so I've been looking for everyday use. Does Sofina leave that heavy white greasy layer some sunscreens leave?

I just bought Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunbloack SPF 45 today. I love this stuff! It's a spray-on and it doesn't clog my pores, isn't sticky, and it's so easy to put on.

I knew that name sounded familiar! I just checked and that's the sunblock I use, too. I've recommended it before and would again. When I go to Disneyland, that's the only sunblock I pack (and that's saying something, since we all know how hot it is there). It takes just a few minutes to coat your skin, and then you're completely protected for a good two or so hours.

Wow! I am glad I found this thread:D

My family goes to Disneyland and Disneyworld a lot......
we must try that!!:flower:

Thanks!!

I'm looking for the most matte moisturizer with SPF I can find. Does this fall into this category? Anybody know of any really matte sunscreens?

Sofina gets tons of good reviews. havent tried it. LOVE to death Natura Bisse's suncare. Use their Suncream and now just purchased the Oil-Free Sun Lotion which is new and in a cute portable bottle with its own sponge which I dont use because I dont want any bacteria growing on it, so I use my fingertips. It spreads so nicely, not thick at all like Sisley or Clarins (used both) and leaves my already smooth skin flawless and glowing!
