She doesn't look Dominican to me but then again, the typical Dominican look is a dark-skinned woman with a thick body and curly hair. I still don't see it, though.

Maybe South American or she could be mixed with Black Carribean?

i was speaking of ana---really? i wouldn;t have thought so... but everyone comes out different--- mose people from cape verde are VERY light, with red/blonds hair often as it is. whatever teh case.. that is a cool family heritage... they and the portuguese have a lovely culture.

LOL Majority of other Hispanics are dark skinned. Not just Dominicans. I've also seen dark Native Indians, Middleasterners, and Pacific Islanders who could pass as "African" so she could be a mix of anything.

yeah .. and many dominicans--most of the ones i see, look liek lighter skinned black girls with curly fros--- when their hair isn't relaxed... all the latin countries have representatives of pretty much any mixture or "kind" of person you can think of.. oh well. i am really not good at telling if someone is mixed.. i am from nyc. i think at this point i am numb.

I was saying that from the point of view of a Dominican because both gina020 and Ariella V thought she was and I didn't think so. I'm Dominican myself. I know that Hispanics, assorted inhabitants of island countries, and some South Americans tend to be on the darker side naturally and Dominicans come in all colors (for instance, my mother's a lot lighter than I am and my family ranges from bright to black). The Dominicans I have met were on the darker side like me with long curly hair, no afros.

i am sorry. i didn't mean to say that only dominicans are dark. i think there are "black" peopple scatterd in all the Latin countries... maybe the dominicans that come to eastcoast--ny are different?
my friends ofthat cultural heritage really vary--being of asian descent even... its jsut most of my buds have the curly fro.... so i assumed...

I don't know about the Dominicans up in NY being different but I've been up there and they were an assortment of colors and mixes than down here in Texas.

I definitely believe that because Dominicans are mixed themselves, Asian especially.

She simply has parents who are from two different nationalities. That doesn't make her bi-racial. Her mother Liz Turlington is white.

I just want to know, If someone is mixed with say french, german and swiss does that make them multiracial or are they just European? I mean saying that you're half canadian and half british for instance tells a person nothing about your racial make up. I saw a model in here who was part chinese, japanese and korean. I would say that she is asian not really multiracial, because nationalities were listed. I'm a canadian by nationality but black and east indian racially (from trinidadian parents). I just wanted to know everyones thoughts on this. Can a nationality be used to describe someones racial background?
