Boobs

Well I am a fairly petite person who sprouted boobs in college. While it seems that guys seems to love them, I HATE them. I find they make me look fatter, they hurt more often than not, and I think it sometimes makes outfits look worse. Granted I am a full C and that is not too big, I have a small frame, so I just wouldnt mind having smaller ones...

I am an A cup, and it took be a really long time to accept my small breasts. Sure, it'd be nice to have cleavage sometimes, but most supermodels are not busty.. so I guess it's alright if I'm not either.

Also, it makes somewhat revealing clothing look less trashy, and I like how some shirts look on smaller breasts. Smaller breasts also makes you look thinner!

Breast size honestly doesn't matter to me, as long as they are natural! To tell the truth, I actually prefer them smaller.

I like having small boobies ^_^. And although I'm not as blessed in that department as others, it's nice to know some prefer it smaller. Thanks, MV AgUsTa!! :flower:

^ agrred! I am an A cup as well and it's okay for me....There are a few good thinks about it...like there is no need for wearing a sports bra....;)

Np Aquarius. ;)

My girlfriend can be a bit of a messy eater sometimes. It's really quite funny, because it's not anything she does wrong, food just jumps out of her hands... So she says she likes having small boobs because she doesn't have a "shelf" to catch things on so her clothes won't get stained. So I guess it's official. Big boobs = stained clothes!

Even though i'm slim, i have DD's, even when my weight fluctuates. They are a good shape, but i just find that it makes me look bigger than i would were i smaller-breasted. It also limits me fashion-wise-i find that so many looks, created for flat-chested models, would just look silly on me. I don't want to look skanky and have constant in-your-face cleavage (which can happen without trying), so it can be limiting at times. Overall however, natural, no matter what size, is always better than fake, and we should embrace that we are all individual.

Gosh, what a rant that turned into!

I like my breasts. I don't have to wear a bra which is great. They are a large B cup and a awesome shape, if it wasn't for stretchmarks I would have great looking breasts.

LP, I'd def recommend wearing a bra if you want to maintain that awesome shape for as long as possible ;) ^_^

question - underwire or no underwire?

I swear by wire.. I'm really hoping to defy gravity when I reach that age someday

^ I can't live without underwire ... it just has to fit right. I'm not sure anything else has been invented yet that provides the necessary support for those who need it.

Btw, my sister is 5 years younger and at least a C. She used to brag loudly and often about how perky she was. I said not a word and waited for time to pass ... the bragging has stopped, btw

Btw, here are some American sizing instructions I ran across ...

How to measure the correct bra size:

You will need a tape measure (preferably paper) in inches, and a pencil. (For the best results, you should be wearing your most comfortable bra (lightly lined) when the following measurements are done, though this is not mandatory.)
There are 2 things we need to determine to correctly find your bra and cup size. These variables are your frame size and your chest+breast size. Keep in mind, however, that determining your bra and cup size is no an exact science. If you find you should be wearing a 34 C, but a 32 B fits you better, obviously get the more comfortable one!
1. Determining the frame & bra size:
The frame size is the diameter around your chest JUST BELOW your breasts. Using the tape measure, measure around your ribcage directly under your breasts. There should be no breast tissue measured while determining your frame size.
To determine the bra size, add 5 to this number. If the number you get is odd, round up to the next even number. For example, if your frame size is 26 inches, when you add 5 to this you get 31 inches. You should therefore round up to the even number which is 32 inches (since bras only come in even numbers). This is your bra size, 32 inches. Record this number.
2. Determine breast size:
The next measurement goes around the chest over and including the fullest part of your bust (usually at the level of the nipples). Technically, you should take this measurement while wearing a comfortable bra. This is the diameter of your chest+breast. Record this number.
3. Calculate cup size:
Now, take the chest + breast size number, and subtract your bra size number. Then use the table below to determine your cup size.
Difference (line 5 minus 4) Cup Size

0 to 1/2 inch AA
1/2 to 1 inch A
1 to 2 1/2 inches B
2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inches C
3 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches D
4 1/2 to 6 inches DD (E)
6 to 7 inches DDD (F)
7 to 8 inches G
etc., etc. etc.

4. Example:

Let's assume your frame size is 33 inches, your bra size is therefore 38 inches (33 + 5 = 38 inches). In addition, assume you measured your chest+breast size at 43 inches. Now, take your chest+breast size (43), and subtract your bra size (38). You get 5 inches as the difference. Using the table above, you find that anyone with a difference between 4 1/2 to 6 inches (including 6) has a cup size DD(E). Your correct bra and cup size is therefore 38 DD or 38E.

^ What happens if you don't even fit in the smallest cup....!?

Probably in that case one may not need one ;) I go to a specialty lingerie shop that specializes in fitting and post-surgical, recommended to me by someone on the small side. Those are good places to go ... Unfortunately my size is pretty common there, so there's still not much of a selection

Of course you could also do the "cutlets" thing, but I'm doubting you would be too thrilled with that option ;)

I'm a 32A. My boob size never really bothered me at all until I was about 16. I found it hard to find bras in my size in shops and catalogues; most of them started at a 34B and a few at 32B. If there were any my size, they were stuffed full of padding/gel/air. It was as if they were saying "This is the size you are meant to be, loser!" and I got all depressed even though my breast size was proportional to the rest of me and it looked fine. In the end I went to a forum about boobs where the members helped me feel better by showing me the advantages of having smaller boobs and showing me that larger breasts come with plenty of disadvantages, too. I also learnt that bras can be bad for the health of your breasts (possible links to cancer) and I ended up ditching the bras that got me so self-conscious in the first place and became a much happier person with a little bit more money to spend on things other than ridiculously expensive bras. :)

I can tell you, you can enjoy great boobies all you want when you are young and "single" but once you've had kiddies, your boobies will go PfFFFFFFffft especially if you breastfeed :) I'd say no to implants still. Smaller boobies make you look thinner *har har har!* :lol

P.S. eurasian, isn't it liberating to have small boobies? :D makes you look thin too! And yes, why spend so much on bras! I'm happy with a sports bra :) no pads no nuttin!!

Yeah, it is. Larger-breasted women can get lots of back pain and for some of them it is hard to exercise because of all the bouncing. My friend who is a DD finds it hard to buy clothes because of her boobs. At least I don't have that problem.

Hmmm ... I've never heard of a possible link to cancer ...

PS Here's a link: http://www.all-natural.com/bras.html It doesn't mention something that seems obvious to me, which is differences in hormones between smaller and larger breasted women (the latter would be more likely to wear bras), and difference in amount of breast tissue. A good fit can't hurt ...

I don't think there is a difference in hormones between smaller and larger breasted women; I think it has to do with how receptive they are to the hormones, which also relates to stress. Sometimes women get their periods late because of stress and I think stress can do the same with breast growth. All of my relatives on both the Caucasian and Asian sides of my family have C cups or larger. Both my mother and I are A cups and we have both been through very stressful experiences that probably stopped us from growing. My boobs stopped growing a long time before I had my first period, which says a lot. They are meant to keep growing all the way through puberty.
