Boobs

You should wear the size that fits you, not what any calculator or website says. If you really are a 36, there is no way you could get a 30 around your ribcage. If you can fit in a 30 comfortably, then there is no way you should be wearing a 36, because it will not give you any support.

My underbust is actually 28 inches. A lot of the numbers I am typing here are only examples to illustrate whatever point I am trying to make.

A few of the women I mentioned were also 28 inches underneath their bust and found a 30 band size fit better than a 32 (which is what many measuring experts and size calculators say we should wear). I only wanted to know others' experiences (whether positive or negative) from wearing smaller band sizes than what has been recommended, but it seems no one has ever tried it and that most people have misunderstood me, or have not read my posts and have assumed I am someone who needs advice on how to figure out their bra size. *Shrugs*

I'm sorry but it seems you aren't reading the replies you get either. Like I already said - if you can fit in the smaller size (obviously without you flesh bulging out from under the bra or anything like that), then that is the correct size for you.

It's pretty hard to wear a band size that is too small for you, since the correct size should be quite a snug fit. It would be like trying to wear shoes that are too small - you'd notice, probably because you'd not be able to put them on at all.

One could possibly squeeze into the next band size down, but then there would be visible bad effect, like the aforementioned bulging flesh.

Hence, experimenting with buying bras that are smaller than the ones one currently wears is quite pointless, unless one is currently wearing ill fitting bras. And I sincerely hope most tFS members aren't - which might explain the lack of replies of the sort you were hoping for.

Erin, most of my bras are slightly padded too but they don't seem to give enough support. It's not like my breasts are enormously huge, but it seems as though I have a weak connective tissue :(

My chest is on the smaller size, but I have two good friends with large breasts, and I've been following their bra-finding-troubles for a while now.
Maybe styles that cover more of the breast, that might feel a bit old lady-ish at first, might be better at holding everything in place.

Yes, that is what they have been saying and that does not answer my question of, 'Have you ever tried on a smaller band size than what has been recommended to you? What was your experience?'

Please show me where I asked 'What is my correct bra size?' because I don't recall posting that even though responses to that question are all I have been receiving.

Did you read the part in my last post where I say

Obviously not.

Ok, that's it, I'm out of trying to brake into Eurasians monologue of how no one understands what she is trying to say. Sorry mods.

any know what kind of bra is suitable for people with back that is slightly thinner then average?

^ I don't think there is a particular type of bra you can buy that is better for smaller band sizes, but - if you don't mind shopping there - you can buy bras with smaller band sizes in the petite (32A - 34C) and/or teenager sections. I know from experience that the petite sections have a very small selection in bra styles (maybe two or three styles), but I haven't tried teenager sections.

The only other solution I can think of is ordering on line from Europe, the UK or Asia. I find a lot more bras in UK and Europe with small band sizes. There are actually quite a few places in the UK where you can get a 28 band size, but most of them have to be ordered through the internet. It will probably cost a lot, but if you're still interested I think I posted some links on the small boob appreciation thread along with a few other people.

If you are going to order from there on line, you'll need a bra size converter. I've found the one at www.85b.org is the most accurate. I have tried others and some of them seem to calculate me as being a 30E which is nowhere near my size!

I have read what you typed, blondes. It certainly answers the question of why nobody has responded. However, that is a question I have not asked. It is fairly easy for me to guess for myself why people have not responded to my question. What I could not guess is why those who had responded appeared to be replying to a question that was different from the one I posted (unless it has to do with reading too fast or misunderstanding).

To be honest, I don't think many women would be aware if they are wearing ill-fitting bras as I have heard from so many sources that the majority of women are wearing the wrong bra size. With that in mind, perhaps it would be a good thing for women to try other band sizes; especially if they have no way of being measured professionally (though sometimes even the professionals get it wrong).

As for the tone of your last post: I thought the forum rules emphasised upon respect towards each other when people were having misunderstandings and/or disagreements? I don't see what I said or did to you to justify such a reply, as all I was trying to do was explain what I wanted to know and understand why other people were getting the wrong idea (as perhaps I had asked something else when trying to explain before and people did not see the initial question). I have been polite, respectful and patient while trying to do this. I have not insulted you, been sarcastic towards you, or even hinted towards anything nasty about you so I really do not understand the need for the disrespectful tone.

I was wearing a 80B a while ago,but I realised that the band size was too big and the cup size to small,I tried a 75C after that and found a pretty good size for me ,but after trying different sizes I settled for a 75D because it was a better fit.I think it's good to try different bra sizes ,even if you feel OK with the one you have.

Okay... so if I am 34DD what other bra size can I try?

A 34D would be a good place to start. I used to sell bras and often women who bought 34DD's bought 34D's, as well.

I think a good idea is for women to step into Victoria's Secret to get yourself measured (no, I have never worked there). It's fast and free.

stupid question but, how could i know if im a DD? well, im actually 34B but thats easy to know, how DDs measure?

It's not,I think a 36C is bigger or similar to a 32D,the bigger the band size, the bigger the cup.I used to think D's must be huge, that's why I always asked for B's or C's,but they're really not.
This thread has become more about bra's than about breasts.

i think this whole myth that u can just up a bak size subrract one from teh cup and the bra fits is sort of silly. i am a 30 dd/e. I can not fit intoa 34c. i can fit slightly ina 34d. but it is oddly tight, and the 34 dd is roomy on the sides of the cups. secondly--- no has ever called me flat. i wear blazers everyday to hide my chest. the smallest guessi have ever gotten is a c. a big c. if you have so many questions over your size, you should really go intoaz highend store with a multitude of sizes. the askthem for help. it seems like ther is a lot of confusiton on this thread.

elle macpherson runs super small in the back. (someone asks about good bras for narrow backs)
