Bravo's NYC Prep

I like that idea, retailqueen. Socialites would have been fun to watch.

I re-watched the episode with my brother and he said everything that I didn't even notice that TFSers did! "Does the blonde girl have a lazy eye? Why aren't these people more pretty?"

But one thing I noticed that sort of bothered me was when PC was on a date with Kelli and Camille and he asked them if they smoked. He had already called them 12 year olds and then tried to save his a$$ by asking if they smoked because it's such a "grown up" thing to do.

When it comes down to it, stories are desirable based on one of 4 components

1) Fantasy - Would be nice to be in their shoes
2) Admirable - you respect of admire the people
3) Relatable - You find a kinship or have gone through similar struggles/views
4) Eye Candy / Fun - It is mindless, but entertaining.

Sadly, this show likely could have fit into 1, 2, or 4, but because of the cast and the appalling lack of depth and character, it is why the show is such a big miss

It's ok, I thought Camille came off well. But they all act the way I would expect them too, especially PC and Jessie, they really live up to the stereotypes that are out there.

I think what I find sort of sad is I think they rise to the occasion to conform to those stereotypes.

am I the only one who thinks Kelli looks cute?

btw, acc to wiki, PC is the grandson of billionaire Peter Peterson, so i guess he's really old money (but it becomes more unbelievably for his parents to let him do such a stupid show...)

Kelli is the prettiest one! But each of the girls are cute unless their bitchy attitude doesn't overshadow it *cough*JESSIE*cough*

this show is just beyond bad. it's not even entertaining, the kids are just so childish.the only decent person is the blonde who's friends with that wannabe-chuck bass.

i always love on shows like this where the kids say " our parents don't know we're hooking up, have fake id's"..if they don't know why are you talking about it on tv????

And I might add, Peter Carey actually has a nice sound to it, PC though, makes me thing of PCs as in personal computers. :innocent: Except my PC (personal computer) is so much cooler than PC on "NYC Prep". :p

Yeah it does sound nicer in the full version
and I was thinking the same thing about PC(personal computer:lol::lol:)

Also te girl who freaked out about her SATs seems really annoying
and seems like the type to cry over getting an A-...I really hope she gesinto Harvard
after making such a big deal as a junior over her SAT scores:lol:

Grounded? HAH. PC is the wannabe Chuck Bass. I can't stand him or his immature attitude. Kelli is obviously on the show trying to start her "career" and how sad that her parents live in the Hamptons while she shares an apartment with her brother. This kids are not elite in the slightest. Old money families in NYC don't talk about their money, don't flaunt their money and wouldn't EVER go on a television show trying to prove how ~elite~ they are. Which they aren't. This kids think they are socialites. The real Blair's and Chuck's of NYC. Except no one has ever heard of them and only one of them goes to a decent ~elite~ school.

 this show! (That is painful for me to say, watching teenagers live their drama-filled lives on cable television.)

So, Kelli... really annoying to call a guy and ask him how his date with another girl goes. What a meddler. Quit getting jealous. You're going to be jealous the entire season. TOO EMOTIONAL.

PC: the most immature boy in New York City. You can't call your friends b*tches even as a joke. He thinks there is nothing wrong with him nor does he realize how much of a child he still is. I doubt he has sex often as he would like to make it seem, and just blows if off as no big deal to sound cool.

Sebastian is just a boy. Of course he'll want to hook up. He is a teenager. What else is new?

I think Taylor is strong but focuses too much on wealth. She shouldn't continue to compare private and public school kids so much. She talks about Target and how she can't imagine being in a store where little material costs so much. (I can relate.)

Jessie... yeah, she comes off as a b*tch but I think that's just who she is but I don't think she's all that mean.

Just my thoughts! :p

I just watch this show to laugh
at how they think they are all so grown-up
the things the do are the same things kids were doing in my high school
"Most kids in Prep school go see therapists" for what? so you can b**ch about you
being single..you're 17 live your life..you go see a therapists for real issues..these kids
are jokes

:ermm: I only half agree with this but for the most part, it is nothing more than bitching about girls which is why you have "bros," PC. :p:lol:

The show is so lame, but for some strange reason I cant stop watching! LOL.

I don't really think any of them are that pretty. Or maybe I just don't feel as if they carry themselves well.

I think this show is terrible and annoying, but it's so entertaining. My mom and I watch it just to make fun of it. :p
