Brown boots...

all the most stylish girls around here have been wearing brown flat boots with jns tucked in and blk coats...

mixing the blk with the brown seems to be the way to go these days...
sort of a romantic/softer/equestrian/neo-goth vibe...

**just reporting what i am seeing as the beginning of a major trend of brown lthr footwear....

yeah im loving the brown boots too (not sayin that i consider myself part of "all the most stylish girls around" though ), they just seem more versatile and prettier than black ones.

I like some of the flat brown boots. I don't like these boho or moccasin-type of brown boots you see here, but classic brown boots will always have a place in my heart...even though mine are black.

It's so over done here I see old ladies in wind brakers with their Bronx brand brown boots from a winter sale. They are on every shop window in every heel hight. I wanted a pair but now I'm over it.

Brown boots..... *Sigh* I definitely prefer brown boots over black and prefer them with a stacked heel..... I always wanted to get flat boots (comfort first ) but when I actually tried them on they didn't suit me at all !! And then I tried ones on with a stacked heel and they were perfect!! So, brown stack-heeled boots all the way for me .

yeah...i started doing it myself at the beginning of the fall season...
i don't know why...

then, this month, i suddenly looked around and it seemed like i just kept seeing this over and over...

**but it still hasn't gone completely mainstream here yet...
i can tell that there are still plenty of girls who haven't realy grabbed the clue...those are the ones who 'follow trends'...

cause this one didn't really come from a magazine layout or particular celeb...
this one seems to have truly come from the street...

i'm happy to be part of it...
every time i see a girl in this 'look'...
i always think she looks cool...
so if i am in that bunch...then that's ok with me...

i can tell you what influenced me as far as i can tell...
-it was some previous marni collections...
and her gorgeous cocoa brown lthr accessories and footwear...
mixed with blk and grey textures....
it all just looks so rich...and luxurious...
the blk and grey are already gorgeous together but a bit cold...
adding the brown lthr just gives it enough warmth to make it modern and new...
so that is why i started doing my own version of it..


*have also started wearing cocoa brn lthr gloves more than my blk ones now...
-but i switch- if i wear blk boots- i wear brn gloves and vice/versa...

Hum ... well... if you go equestrian you could just go to a store where they buy that type of stuff ... it depends on what you want specifically because of teh price range ... I´d just personally have them made ... one of the many perks of living on this country ...

Errmmm... what about boots a-la V. Westwood or McQueen's infamous pirate show? I remember they came in the most delicious brown colour and could be a nice twist on the trend ... or is it to passe?

PS My mum has been doing this ... once she did it with white jeans (when she goes equestrian, she goes equiestrian .. she loves matchy matchy) and totally pulled it off!

^ Awww... I think black and brown can look good together. I like wearing my black skinnies with a brown leather belt, same with my sis (she styles me sometimes).
I've always preferred brown boots over black. I dunno why, they just look nicer to me. Most girls here are still stuck on the whole jeans-tucked-into-slouchy-black-flat-pirate-boots look so, all the more reason to be wearing the brown-heeled ones, I say.

i got brown faux leather morotcycle style flat boots a month or two ago, but i've yet to wear them cause it's 90 degrees out. i was considering trying to dye them black, but i wasn't sure how to go about doing that.
