Burberry Prorsum Mens F/W 06.07 Milan

Great stuff. Rich, deep gorgeous colors. Terrific compared to past collections and generally what's out there so far.

love the looks diorling and yourbestfriend singled out,
everything posted till now (except the quilted shiny pieces) look quite interesting to me..

the colour palette is gorgeous and i certainly agree with PoC on the 'mens cut'
not sure i can really see the Prada influence but in some of the colour choices..

I'd like to see more pics of the show...despite the absence of past collection's English eccentricity and quirkiness like somebody'd said, I still quite love these looks, especially the color paillette, styling and accessories...

I actually thought he stayed very true to his approach, there´s again this eccentric, pop-cultural undertone in the collection which brings a nonchalance to those old-fashioned english fabrics. I love the subtle, early punk/teddyboys references with the leopard patterned pullovers and studded belts or the black perfecto. Another sweater with overdyed check patterned looked equally clever and subtle. Apart from that, I also liked the trenchcoats in unusual fabrics, such as the one in houndstooth and definitely the golden, quilted one... such a lovely shade... I already hear it calling my name, ahhhh....

Oh, and before I forget, the pictures came from catwalking.com

^Ooooh...that last pic you posted is especially nice. That leather jacket looks wonderful. Dare I say it...that and the scarf bring to mind the better days of Dior.

^^ those looks!:woot: :woot: :woot:

i'm definitely not skeptical anymore! leaopard print sweaters? that's plenty of bailey-ness for me! very cool.

The colours are so beautiful, after viewing the whole collection, I cannot find a single fault

Here's another leopard print sweater

is there somewhere where i can see the entire collection???? it's not up at style.com yet -- or am i just helpless and not finding it??

I should hate this.......but I'm strangely attracted to it all. The fit of everything, the colours, the patterns and textures. It's just quirky enough to catch your eye but not so outlandish as to be deemed unwearable.

I do admire Bailey's sense of root and origin and how he applies this to his designs.

okay --- after looking at the complete collections of Jil Sander, Versace, Missoni, Costume National, Dolce & Gabbana, and Burberry Prorsum. . . .i can say without question, unequivocally certain that Burberry is ABSOLUTELY 100% my favourite. with basically zero competition.

i literally liked nothing from jil sander or versace. there were maybe 2 or 3 things i liked from missoni .. a few from costume national. surprisingly, Dolce & Gabbana had quite a few looks that i liked (normally they're too tacky), but the cuts of the burberry and the colors. oh man those rich colors. i'm sold.

literally i wish i could buy the entire collection (minus the flashy shirts and crazy black&white patterns). and just mix n match at my leisure. the cut of the pants is beyond sexy. i'm in love. the colours are just SOOOOOOOOOOO rich and perfect for autumn.

honestly, burberry is really surprising me. they're s/s collection was my favourite too. though not by such a landslide.

can't wait to see the rest of the collections!

Lots of the pieces are nice but there's some kind of overload going on, color wise, gimmick wise. Jil Sander is it: monkish, droopy, drained, sober. Me likee....though that Burb black leather jacket is kickin'.

I'm really loving this collection! The guilted jackets....... ahhh...... Very nice!

I agree with tricotinacetat now after viewing the whole collection, definitely still very English...I totally jumped into conclusion so soon:blush: I'm crazy about the houndstooth trench with the bow-tie:heart:

After viewing all the pictures and reading all the posts, I have to agree--this is a beautiful collection! I'm not too fond of the animal print sweaters or the quilted gold coat, but everything else is gorgeous! I love the colors--love,love,love them! The seem so rich--espically the maroon/burgundy. I love the sweaters and the slim cut of everything--a very sophisticated look IMO. I adore those bags!!! What do we call those? I've heard 'man bags' before but maybe that word is too....what word am I looking for here....childish (??) to describe the bags??? Help please ??
