Céline S/S 11 Paris

Believe it or not this looks VERY Chloe by both Phoebe and Stella.

I think it's extremely clean and very very relaxing, but in a strong feminine type of way.

Yay!It was incredible. Amazing collection, as well.
My favourite look

I like more fitted clothes personally, so I don't really buy the really loose clothes..... but the color palette is nice though... but if they are fitted, I think it will be much nicer.... I agree with some people saying that her Resort is much stronger than this collection.

Did not care for the prints. The whites are great but it just isn't exciting. If only it was a bit more fitted and not so loose.

oh no..seriously celine is so overrated. one good collection but the last two are total rubbish.

I like the look of this as a whole, and it will indeed sell well for the Céline woman. I like how Phoebe worked with the colours, there's some great pieces in there. The pants are really nice, casual, laid back, easy to wear. Which is the point of Céline really isn't it? The ease at which it can all be worn. Clothes for real women and such.

It's a beautiful collection.. but the previous ones have been frankly better.. I've already seen similar stuff by different designers this season and I wish Phoebe had changed her course a little bit. I love minimalism and clean cuts but some exciting and unexpected details would have make the collection even better. But still, I like it^_^

Its a beautiful collection but Phoebe has to step up her games since she is probably the most copied designer now , I liked her resort more , I dont like white so much . None the less , she has only done 3 collections and we know she is capable of so much so its fine. With her RTW , I guess she has to be more conceptual and with resort she can let go . You can find ghosts of Phoebe's Chloe in this though but I think people want it to be more pronounced.

I agree with the others who are expressing disappointment. As someone mentioned above, the clothes are missing that certain 'luxe' factor, and it's those details that justify the sky-high prices of Celine. I loved some of the lengths of the skirts, but overall it felt like her finger was off the pulse. The long tunics and slouchy pants look like loungewear and something a middle-aged woman in New Mexico would wear.

It doesn't feel very young. And the incredibly oversized tops were alright, but not that flattering. I think the jumpsuits were the most successful and I could see those worn both on the red-carpet and for casual daywear.

It's simple. I think the new celine is all about relax, comfort and mordern.
The whole collection is so wearable. It's not crazy like V&R, McQueen.
Phoebe is more a designer creat the clothes that womens want and wear it.
Maybe we see it as dull and boring, but I bet the sales is really good. Because U can almost put everything in the closet. It's more about cutting...which I think she's doing pretty good.

Bar a couple of looks, if this collection was under the name of a New York designer, it'll probably be universally criticised by being commercial, safe and boring.

But because it's Phoebe Philo and in Paris, ergo, everyone seems to be obsessed...

Just a thought. Imagine if these looks came out under Max Azria. Would it have the same response?

I really like most of the looks, but a few of them are questionable...I also enjoy the wooden runway. ^_^

hahah i dont think , Phoebe has years of experience and she is super talented and if anything many nyc designers have copied her looks . :innocent:

Oh i agree completely.

I really don't think Celine did it for me this year. I usually love the simplicity of all her collections, but this one was different.

There are some lovely pieces; I like the skirt lengths and the billowing trousers. But she might've played with mixing the proportions a little more than she did here. I preferred last spring's collection, and fall was better too. As someone else mentioned, where are the great accessories? It's a good collection, but not one of her best.

I'm looking at all this and can't help but think I'd have loved it way more if it was more fitted...

It's nice, but very forgettable. This was my most anticipated collection this season, too.
