Well it's very straight forward, that's for sure. Costa isn't mucking around but Calvin Klein has always stood for minimalism so I guess it's important to maintain that kind of personality in their collections.
I still feel like it's been done before though. Some of it reminds me of Balenciaga Fall 2008, not that there's anything wrong with that
In overall it's still very Calvin Klein. I like its straight up architecture.
I'm not too crazy about those puffy, shapeless 'balenciaga' sleeves, but other than that I think it's the best CK collection in a while. I'm glad they went back to sleek, clean lines and no more of that wrinkly stuff.
I have to say that this collection reminded me a lot of Raf Simons' work for Jil Sander. The shapes, the textures and just the general aesthetic was very similar to Jil Sander Menswear (Fall 2009 in particular).
I love how sleek and beautifully structured it is, especially the opening black pieces. Together with the soundtrack and casting, that was such an amazing show
I kinda like this collection. Love the minimalism, the purity; it looks ripe... the coats are the best! The rest is just okay.
BUT the shoes are hideous. It looks terrible, baby, terrible...
It's funny how everybody finds something from Balenciaga in every collection
Marchesa??Oh I see Balenciaga!!
Richie Rich??Oh I see Balenciaga!!
By the way this is the typical CK from Costa:structured shapes, neutral colors, bold coats,it seems we're seeing the same thing over and over again
