Is Vlada backstage at Louis VUitton S/S 2007? I'm not sure about Tanya, but in that LV show, they had glitter right below their eyes and from the way she's blinking and how Pat comes removes make-up from that area, it looks as though some of the glitter may have accidentally moved into there, which would make anyone tear up until it gets out.

Notice with Tanya that the makeup artist hands her eye drops. If I had to guess, Tanya's eyes are bloodshot from sleep deprivation, and the eye drops are to make them clear. Tanya's probably stressed out and hasn't slept enough and that's why she's crying.

Honestly, everyone has their down days. Of course there are starving children and what not, but even we have sucky days.

My mother said that since there are so many shows scheduled one after the other, the models get an allergic reaction around their eyes and on their faces from all the make-up.

Trust me. My mother was born in South Korea and speaks fluent Korean, so I trust her 5,000%.

the narrator is saying that for the preparation of one show, models have to keep repeating hair and makeup cuz makeup artists will practice looks on them before the actual day of the show..something up to like 19 times for just one show. so their skin can be allergic, and get really irritated from all the makeup being caked on too. along with the hair, it can just get painful.

I can't help but roll my eyes at all the GUYS commenting on how silly the makeup / skin irritation issue supposedly is - I wonder if they've ever had to wear cosmetics which doesn't bode well with their skin?

If you have sensitive skin, the wrong product can burn like hell. I know that from my experience with makeup and I'm not even a model. So goodness knows how these young models cope with having this done to them several times a day, taken off several times a day, and reapplied several times a day.

Yeah .. some make-up products, specially eyeliner, makes my eyes watering. And I often get red rashes around my eyes, if I have had too much make-up on too many nights/days in a row.
