Carrie Addresses Weight Loss Concerns
April 2, 2007 — Since her days on "American Idol," magazines have focused attention on Carrie Underwood's weight loss. Aware that many young girls look up to her and try to emulate her, Carrie wants everyone to know that she achieved her slim figure sensibly.
"I haven't done anything that's been unhealthy for me, and I can promise everybody that," Carrie tells Dial-Global. "I eat a lot, and anybody that's around for a day can see that. But I really tried to modify my behavior, because it is important when you see yourself in magazines and you see yourself on TV programs that you think, 'Wow, I really look good.' It's good to feel good about yourself, too."
Carrie, an animal lover who eats no meat, says that when she eats better, she also sings better. "I feel better, I sound better and I do better," she says. "I have more energy. There's so much stuff in the media today about how so and so is anorexic or whatnot. "People are gonna do what they're gonna do, no matter what I do."
