i'm going to add sparkle to my list of trends...i'm really feeling sparkly, shiny right now...that veronique branquinho show just reminded me...i like the blk sequin vest and the rochas metallic shoes...definitely feel this trend moving forward...

i also see a loosening up of the silhouette...softer, more forgiving fabrics and shapes...

don't you want to play the trend-spotting game with me/? :P see if we come up with the same trends that the majors come up with...it's fun...see if we're on the same page as them...it helps you sharpen your eye as a stylist/editor/designer...c'mon..let's play :flower: ...i want to hear what you all see in terms of the big picture...

Oooh, I do hope capes are coming it. Fun stuff. I've got a couple of 1960s patterns that could use airing.

Ho, this is all news to me who thought I was going mad with flashes and yes, probably am.

I agree with the belts especially. It seems that Prada led the way a few seasons ago, and now everybody is doing it. The skinny belt on top of jacket/sweater combo still looks fresh for fall.
Am glad to see the vest thing happening. Let's hope it does well at retail. It all started last Spring, but didn't stick around very long. I personally like wearing vests.
I think colour is VERY important. It's been happening for quite a while, but it seems to be one of the most colourful seasons yet. I am loving the purples, yellows, greens and oranges in all shades and hues.
And most obvious to me is the "cleaned up" appearance of everything. In both men's and women's. As a backlash to this whole dirty look that's been happening for quite some time. All those dapper gents and sophisiticated girls get my vote. I will definitely be dressing less casual come Fall.
I think one of the interesting things that's happening in the industry now is that looks are becoming more personalized/eccentric. Allowing people to wear it their own way, not a dictated "look". There have been some amazing stylists behind some of the designer's runway shows this year.
