Celebrity Hair (Styles, Cuts, Color and Care) tips

Wear a wig? I swear Paris's hair isn't real. Well, she uses extensions anyway, but that ediface shown above doesn't look like it would be possible to re-create without an engineering degree.

For the original style, like what Farrah had, you need to have your hair cut in long layers in the "shag" style. Best to find a middle-aged hairdresser who came to the trade when that style was au courant.

Once you have the cut, you style it with large hot rollers and yes, a shedload of hairspray.

Back in the day, it wasn't unusual to see a woman's mass of lovely wavy, swirly curls lift up in one large chunk in the wind.

However, if your hair is naturally wavy or has natural loose curls, simply getting the shag haircut will probably get a near approximation of the style in and of itself.

ugh, please don't do it. paris looks so cheap, and you're classier than that.

i use to style my hair like that a few years ago......

i just used a large curling ironn taht had gooood heat and curled out sections of my hair then i srayed it with hairpray and jus played with it till i got it lookig the way i wanted it tooo

You'd need lots of layers for this one!

using a wide barrel curling iron (probably 1.5 or 2 inches), curl the hair so that the curl goes up and in. clip hair to head while it cools. spritz with hairspray. repeat all over head, maybe using a smaller curling iron closer to the face.

Try bumble and bumble products, esp their hair powder stuff, it gives amazing lift!

I love the way I look with flowy framy curls. I often do a hairstyle where my hair is in springy curls, and the next day, it looks PERFECTLY like Paris's, minus the front.

Wording it wrong, I was wondering more how to get this 'lift' in the front:

It never really occurred to me that her hair was cut shorter in the front  , so yesterday I tried something new with my hair. I used large rollers and came out with this:

(I even tried the dingy Hilton facial expressions  )

Then I put it across my forehead in the front:

I liked it like this, but I want those wisps in the front. I have long layers now, I may cut them a little more up in the front.

How would that cut look when straight?

Thanks so much you guys for your help.... I'm gonna try some Bumble & Bumble... to give me some EXTREME volume :brows:

Your hair is BEAUTIFUL ;)
I love long hair, nothing beats that.

lol! you had so much fun! love the last pic btw!

to get that farrah fawcett look down pat you'd need shorter layers for shure, but I think you came freakin close, no need to go to extremes.

I  the bangs across the front, Prep :)

Hee! You did a fine approximation of Paris Hilton's dippy expression.

Somehow, it is cuter on you, though a bit disturbing all around.

The curly hair looks nice, however.

those pictures had me seriously cracking up... the hair is gorgeous- i think i'm going to give my hair a go at that style!! but the expressions... i was dying. hehehehe
