Chanel F/W 14.15 Paris

Set is great, the show is a joke lol. It looks like off duty hookers and trailer trash circa 1986 going shopping at the local supuermarket lol. These clothes are EXACTLY why I hate the 80s lol.

This collection was more entertaining than anything else Karl is really great at keeping your eyes moving on all the wrong things. Karl is a genius but he's running out of ideas, who would be a good replacement for the house?

I personally think this is great, fun show. I'm very excited how this trickles down into the campaign, editorials, shops, ect.

This show is amazing. It's like people watching at the grocery. I see the sections of clothing as different groups of people shopping, a big melting pot. You have the après gym girl in her little leggings and crop top, the futurist in their metallic leggings, the gallery girl modernist with her abstract and graphic prints, even the minimalist, in their solid, quilted and really quite simple frocks. I could go on, but I won't. I think it's smart and fun. It's Chanel: commercial yet entirely exclusive.

Wow this was so horrible. Why has Karl not been fired yet?
He is ruining the Chanel name. Please for the love of god someone replace him already.

It is like a second cheap line, like "Chanel for Carrefour".
And it looks like has been designed by Jeremy Scott...no wonder why Karl like him so much in the past...they share the same taste for fashion!

I don't find much to celebrate in the clothes, but I love the set, the humor and the willingness to go completely over the top. Being Karl means never having to say you're sorry!

Very entertaining if not very wearable.

Will Chanel shopping baskets be the next it-bag?

I have a lovehate relationship with them though

I'm just waiting for Karl to retire so Cara will finally get the **** out

This is definitely one of the ugliest collections of the season. It's so unflattering and self-interested.

I read that the market was a free for all after the show. Wish I could've been there, I would've plowed over some socialites for a Chanel canned ham. I have the same sentiments as everybody else re: the clothes.

do we know as to why the supermarket theme? I'm waiting on the style.com ad

Karl is a genius and no one can't deny it. He's just adding details to previous collections.
But there are some really good pieces here; those chanel 2.55 transformable bags, may not be the most beautifull thing on earth, but can be pretty usefull.

He's just a god doing what he wants, reigning around.

Opening look = a pink block of cheese?

That was exactly my thought--pink Swiss cheese? And why hold back, with only the small holes at crotch level? Why not just go all the way, as long as you're being subtle? Good God. And better hope Choupette isn't around when you're wearing that getup :meow:

According to WWD, etc. the perishable products will be donated to Paris food banks. The rest is just packaging that will travel to boutique windows around the world in August/September for window displays.

I love the idea! Karl is the greatest, after all.

What a catastrophe of a collection, the shapes, the fabrics, oh lord it was terrible.
I can imagine him spouting about how he was channeling the inner chic of the supermarket - there is nothing chic about this collection, absolutely nothing, just all bad taste.

He must've spent too long browsing The People of Walmart & got confused.
