Wow...there is a real seperation between the frontrow and the back! I'll hate to be on the latter! Great venue as always.

i was thinking the same thing actually...
i don't even go to see live bands when my seats are that far back...
...

...:p...

So far I can't really tell if I love it, or hate it.

Love it..

Ohhh...I think it's aammaazzzinnngg!! Bes show I've seen this season..

i like it , i just think he needs to work on his color scheme just a tad;)

I'd like to see some Firstview shots; a lot of the details are lost in these small Yahoo pics...Sometimes Karl has stuff going on that you can't see from far away...

It is nice, but not what I had hoped for Chanel after such a beautiful HC collection. I hate the punk influence, especially the black hair streaks, clearly an addition from Karl's new Avril friendship.

...Sorry if I am restating anything already said

I must say this falls very short compared to McQueen and many other collections. I'm disappointed.

Everytime I see Chanel, I can just see a mixture of several outfits with no style and theme. There's totally no unity with the clothes. I can see some clothes to the past seasons. I wonder if Karl is able to do something new or stunning. Some of the clothes are really stupid and naive. This fabulous fashion house shouldn't make some thing like that. I am completely dissapointed with Karl.

I agree- there's no continuity whatsoever. When I first saw post #1, with all those ruffles and :yuk:.

I like the dress on Sasha. Everything else looks a bit vulgar.

Agreed.

Is it just me or does the end of the show look like Karl and the models are going to do the rumble scene from "West Side Story" ;)
When you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way... Yah, this is true, no?

i saw the whole collection at the chanel site..and i love alot of it..some of it is a little too thrown together, but the stuff that is good is really good

I really liked the collection when I saw it this morning...but after seeing what McQueen had to offer, there is really no comparison.

Heheh, exactly my thoughts...maybe this is meant to be a "retrospective" collection.

Now I'm convinced that he didn't do the Lagerfeld Collection in NY (probably was Melanie Ward), nor Fendi (probably Amanda Harlech) because the one who executed those can't be doing this scary crap. I know Chanel is the one that he can't afford to "neglect", and will have his stamp all over it despite his assistants' efforts to tactfully "steer" him in a newer direction.:)

i m ok with the collection although i m a big fan of karl lagerfeld. i think the mood of the show is quite strong already, i quite like the way how the classic pieces go with the gothic vibe and mix with a hint of rock n' roll smell.
so far, it smells quite nice.

not a big fan of Karl.. hmm, I don't know, but having a fashion show at a big venue like that doesn't really focus on the clothes much, the seats are sooo far back that you can't really see it.
