A country theme collection that I actually like? My God Karl can work miracles.

What's with Anja & Sasha having Blackberrys?

this is interesting how the ad campain for winter anticipated the summer collection.
this is interesting to notice that while Karl Lagerfeld used to make "new talent" perform (Vive la Fête !!) he now uses his campain porte-parole and trendy singer Lily Allen (with a model, i think ? - for the record : Hannelore Knuts was very close to Vive La Fête members).

And this is interesting how I cannot put a name on this song played at the end. It was used in a french movie I think. And I cannot remember it, too.
What is it ?

Loved Vive la Fête and I think the song played at the end is by Michael Nyman, but like you, I cannot remember the name of this song.

I love the setting, although it's quite a weird theme.
This collection is just so beautiful..

Easily one of the best Chanel collections in years. I have to go to class now. But more review later.

One must keep their priorities in order...I did school for years- Chanel shows are much more important... B)

This season has been a huggggggggge let down. The only things I've liked have been from Burberry, Prada, and Marc Jacobs! I really really hope for spring/summer 2010 sake that McQueen and Galliano pull something sensational out of the bag!

It looks totally whimsical and beautiful! Personally, I love the farm setting - I wonder if Karl was thinking of Marie Antoinette and Le Petit Trianon - her play farm? - some of the jackets smack of gentlemen's coats from the 1700's.

Yes.

Much as it's a tasteless reference, if so - visually I like this and I don't normally like Chanel very much.

It's softer than usual - Karl seems to be channeling his work for Chloe in all three of his collections this season and it works.

I doubt that it's supposed to be Christmas, BTW - more likely to be a midsummer dance, or something? Maybe a harvest festival?

In love for this show!!!Very beautiful collection...hate the clogs too..

Karl have such sense of humor!!! Amazing!!

I know we're not supposed to comment about the models, but can't I just say that I hate the overall casting of this show? I like the idea behind this, but it really fell short for me. Too many boring little white dresses on boring white models. I mean, other than the setting and maybe some of the handbags (in which Karl most likely didn't design), where's the agricultural influence? Karl could've really told a story with the set and the budget he was given, but this just looks like any other Chanel collection to me.

Even though I'm probably the only one who feels this way since it seems most of you worship those interlocking C's, I still stand by my opinion. This collection is just pretty, there's nothing more to it. There's no depth to it at all.

I absolutely love the entire collection. It's truly youthful instead of pretending to be youthful, colourful, and luxury. Many complain about Karl never changing, but if you look back over the years, he has changed quite a bit while still keeping the Chanel stamp. I love it all! Great set too which is something else I was looking forward to!

I love how Lily Allen sang It's Not Fair. It definitely fits in with the theme.

i love the clogs. i predict we will be seeing many knockoffs of them!
