The new shots look better (apart from the last one) and I love the first one with Saskia.
PS: Surprised Chanel bought 20 pages of advertising in one issue (especially Elle UK) .

The more I look at it, the more I love it. I quite agree the word refreshing is the one here, I love they did it in B&W.

Besides the fact that these two models have the worst chemistry in the history of campaign advertising, the styling is quite sub-par. It doesn't seem to capture the magic or the brilliance of the runway show. It feels very corporate (or commercial / lacklustre?) in terms of the styling approach, is it just me? I liked the styling in the campaigns before Carine came on board. There was a different aesthetic sensibility in those campaigns; who was the stylist? I'm very curious to know

This would be so beautiful with better models. Anyway I like some shots, but others are SO CAMPY! And not in a good way.

the 3rd last and the 2nd to last pictures are my fav of the campaign so far! joan and saskia really shine in those ones, although it does look like they are struggling a little in some of them due to the aerobics haha.

This has to be my favorite Chanel ad campaign in years, despite Joan Smalls being in it. This time the black & white photography works. The third shot is amazing.

Definitely like the campaign much more now that Ive seen the whole thing, some shots are really lovely, like the one with Saskia lying down and the one where they are wearing the pouffy dresses, but I cant help thinking how much this campaign wouldve benefited from color, it couldve been so lovely with the light pastel colors against the water.

I don't know what I think. I don't totally hate it (despite not liking either of the models). At the same time though, I feel like it's such a wasted opportunity. The idea is kind of cool and these images could have been iconic had they been shot by anyone other than KL. He doesn't know how to bring out that something extra from his shots and the end result often ends up being mediocre.

This campaign it's so amazing, Carine and Karl are doing the best!
So athletic, fresh, young, '90 but overall very Chanel.
