Those silverado totes and hobos (I believe)...I like the original/traditional satchel so much better.

Yeah, me too... I honestly can't tell the difference anymore between the mix of satchels and totes and hobos in the Paddington and Silverado. I guess they want to maximize the potential profits from styles that have proven to sell. I'm sad that they're discontinuing the original, though. I'd come to think of it as a classic (maybe I'm wrong?)...

As for the python, I've never seen that in real life so I can't compare. But I DO know that the chocolate color is my favorite out of all my bags. It's so pretty

now I am craving chocolate. just what I need haha.

I got the medium. great! but would you say its a dark chocolate brown and the python and leather are pretty close in color?? thanks again!

Actually, I'm pretty sure Pixiedust has the chocolate leather version, so her pictures won't help you.

The one from Nordstrom's that you purchased (I received a call about it late last night - that's how I knew it would probably still be there) is a dark chocolate brown with the python and leather very much the same shade - there is very little contrast between them.

As far as I know, Saks didn't order any of the traditional satchels, so I'm not sure what those in the system were - Saks is the worst as far as actually knowing what they order - they don't really have a system to check like some of the other stores do. But I'm positive that Neiman's didn't order any at all, so you can pretty much forget bothering with them or Bergdorf's - all they have are hobos and open satchel/totes in the python.

Nordstrom's SA must have been referring to the "Cafe" - which is a lighter shade of taupe or a coffee-with-cream color leather and similar shaded python with variations. Don't ask for Cognac or you'll indeed end up with the Butterscotch - it's actually called Tan/Natural on the tag, but SA's do tend to want to call it whisky/cognac/brown - not sure why.

Yep! Called Saks back today. The chocolate silverados that were in the system have been sold. Atlanta has that dreadful "butterscotch"...

Guccigal, style 101 is right - Sorry my pics won't help then as I have the all leather version, not the chocolate python. I didn't realize they were stopping production of the silverado. I am so glad to have my then and will be holding onto it!

Hmmm...I don't know. I have seen leather Silverado satchels and totes at Nordstrom's lately (South Coast Plaza In OC and The Grove in LA). Last time I went to SCP I purchased the double-zipper large Paddington satchel...I could see that Chloe had some silverado satchels in the store, but I forced myself to go on by... I need to go back to Nordstrom's today to pick up the key to my bag (noticed "no key" at home...called Nordstrom's...they now take the keys off the bags to prevent theft of the locks... ). I will stop by Chloe and ask... (my SA will be glad to see me coming...I hope to disappoint her today...)

Yep - Nordstroms is pretty much the only department store to have ordered the traditional pythons in the newer colors and unfortunately, that may be it - because even the new ones that they have on order for Runway 06 are a newer style - open at the top - the same one Neimans ordered. No one's actually received this style yet, so I haven't seen it IRL, but based on the pictures I have from the Chloe accessories' catalog, I don't care for it and it's more expensive. Nordstroms, Neimans, BG and Saks all ordered these as their pythons.

Hi guys, I love the look for the original silverado satchel, but python skin is a little too dear for me and will have to settle for a leather one if I do get one. What are your views about the leather satchel? Do any of you have pics of the leather satchel in tan leather?
