Friday the 13th is going to be a tough day for troubled R&B star Chris Brown - angry Rihanna fans are staging a protest in New York, where the R&B star's posters will be ripped up and CDs shredded. Thousands of Rihanna devotees are expected to take part in the pre-St. Valentine's Day protest, arranged by radio station WBLI and the wounded singer's fan club officials. The supporters are upset with Brown after he reportedly lashed out at his girlfriend during an early-morning row on Sunday. The singer allegedly left Rihanna with cuts and bruises to her face, which prompted the 'Umbrella' hitmaker to seek medical attention and then pull out of a scheduled performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. Brown, who has been charged with making criminal threats, also canceled his appearance at the Grammys.

WBLI operations manager Nancy Cambino hopes to turn the Chris Brown protest into a 'Shred Your Ex' party, urging anyone caught up in the wrong relationship to dump their partner on the eve of St. Valentine's Day. She tells 'WENN', "Valentine's Day should stand for love, so we find it fitting to make the Friday the 13th a day for revenge for those who were unlucky in love. Whether you're a Rihanna fan or not, we can all empathise with being with someone who caused love to go wrong." The New York protest will begin on Friday morning outside the radio station's studios in West Babylon, New York.

I wonder why everyone is so interested in finding out why he hit her, Who cares why he hit her, He DID hit her. There is no justification, she could have been the biggest sl*t, she could have insulted him, she could have given him a STD, it's still no reason for him to Hit her at all.

we still cant be sure of what exactly went down that night..who started the fight...how bad it was....what caused it...its all rumours all over the internet cant really take sides without knowing what the real deal is...unfortunately most of the news out there is from un credible sources like TMZ, perez hilton and media takeout. call me when CNN or Al Jazeera has something...though we still cant trust them with their recent records!

The amount of publicity this has caused and the rumors that have stemmed from it is CRAZY. Poor Rihanna really doesn't need to hear any of that right now....probably adding to her pain. As for CB...man, that just really disappointed me - I used to love him but really, it's hard to support him now. He just lost all his fans.

I read that he had minor bruising--I should hope so, those are from when she was still conscious. One thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that apparently she had quite a few bite marks. The whole thing is beyond uncivilized, obviously, but good Lord--most people get broken of that behavior as toddlers, if in fact they even have to be told not to do it. My dogs all know better than that ...

yeah, but when you lose your head that much in violent there really isn't much of the rationality left in that moment that makes you not choose biting over something other to hurt someone. it's not like you actually reason while picking the needs to fulfill your "anger level". in what all ways and with what kind of stuff have people killed throughout the history is an evidence to this.
plus, the fact that he bite her (or so has been reported) proves another thing, how childishly he approached to fulfill his "anger wish" , not that there's an adult way of violence ..but you get my point <i hope...>

He has been charged with felony battery, I would call that official. If Rihanna had shown no sign of being battered, the DA would not have pressed charges against Chris (it has already been established that she collaborated with the police but did not press charges herself). I think people who doubt he beat her at this point are delusional.
