Christian Lacroix HC S/S 06 Paris

Still wondering if there are bigger pics of the dress in post 78 and more pics of the collection in general.

Sorry for bumping this thread but does anybody know where I could get HQs?
I'm in love with this collection!
:lol::heart:

tell me about it, I'm so desperate to know every news about him!

I've only seen two people wear this collection. Naomi Watts in the blue floral dress and a socialite who wear the blue ribboned white dress, does anyone remember her name?

^Anh Duong wore the blue ribboned white-dress for her wedding.

SJP also wore the pink-and-black cloud dress for her perfume ad, Lindsay Lohan wore the short pink dress to an Oscars party, and Kerry Washington wore the orange dress to Cannes.

I just watched all 25 minutes and 39 seconds of this show and it just upsets me that such a master of design and balance is not having his dreams realised anymore.. while people like Piccoli and Chiuri and Sarah Burton are free to show their uninspired and common designs to the praise of the fashion world.
Lacroix produced the couture idea that inspires me; the idea that a lady might purchase that long, sheer piece with the floral hand-embroidery and fur trim and wear it about, or peel off that heavily embellished red cropped jacket to reveal that startling bare back with a tattoo-like bar on the dress beneath.
To me, couture is dead without Lacroix. Someone, please bring him back.

Just saw this thread.. Miss Lacroix so much. He's like the most "colorful" designer ever. :-(

I completely agree.

It's such a shame, especially, because I feel like Lacroix had/has such a truly, truly unique point of view that we don't see anywhere else in fashion. No one is filling the void, because no one can compare, really. I honestly cannot think of a single working designer today who can stand up to Lacroix's staggering handle of color, texture, decoration, balance and proportion.

And it's absolutely true...Couture feels terribly irrelevant without Lacroix.
