i've decided that this shoe is worthy of its own thread as it seems to have a sort-of "cult" following.

any info on these would be appreciated... do any of you own a pair? ...prices? ...do any of you know the name of this style?

i was going to check in with my sa at the shoe dept. in saks last week, but i didn't get the chance to. the lookbook for louboutin s/s 05 was supposed to have come in... when i get the chance to go, i'll post more info on this shoe. as far as i know, it comes in white patent, black patent, light blue patent, mint (pastel) green patent, and i believe pastel pink patent as well as green silk (thanks alejandro).... gwen stefani's seemingly always pictured parading around in the black patent version... i've no prices as of yet.

It will be interesting to see if this shoe "scales" properly. If it does, the heel on a size 10 or 11 is going to be over 6" - and if it doesn't scale properly, it will look just like any old pump. After all, 5" heel on size 10 is no big deal!

can i join the cult?

Do i have to make any scarifices? How bout my old 3"s? We could burn em ;)

5 inches!!

That's a tall heel!! And to think I thought I was great for being able to balance on 4" ones...

Usually 4" is the maxe for me even in terms of looks but there is something so gorgeous about these shoes and those black patent ones that gwen has make me desire them. They are just so hot. yes, style name and price would be a definate plus.

gwen wears those shoes all the time. they are so awesome. i want the black ones and the white round toe ones.

they look so painful:ninja:

but I liek them, they are so pinup

heel is a bit too straight for my taste, but I like them anyway

The heel should be placed _under_ the heel of the foot, not at the back of the shoe, now the design and proportions look all off. Looks like the whole shoe is toppling forward. It's design for the sake of design, not for the sake of looking good. I would imagine these shoes to be more difficult to walk in than normal 5" heels...

I'm with you. We can toss my old ones in, too.

I'll like to join, but do we have to burn our shoes?
A gal can never have too many pairs, right? B)

You have a point, Dego, but I don't think that could be right. Anyone get them yet? Pradar?? Let us know :shifty:

I am pretty sure that they arent out yet...and just a note, Gwen Stefani's pumps are pointed toe, and from last winter:flower:

anyone see the navy & white seersucker with white bow version on WWD Accessories? very nice:heart:

i could not walk in those, not more than three steps, and thats a fact!

i felt the same way at first, but the straight back-set stiletto is a louboutin trademark... and it makes the shoe seem even higher than it is!

I saw these in black patent with the pointy toe at the Louboutin boutique in Paris on the Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau. I didn't buy them because pointy toes really turn me off now :yuk:, but they were around 450-460 euro. I didn't catch the style name either but the heel is so divine! I want them in the roundtoe version-possibly white- for sure. I'm on the waiting list.

I really, really hope that neimanmarcus.com is going to sell them, even though I doubt they will. :(

I don't know if you mean visually, but a set-back heel sure does make it FEEL higher! (Had a pair of Via Spigas that about killed me that way once! )

im trying to break my high heal pain barrier record this week... i time myself wearing them
