I was going to make some frantic phone calls to see if I could locate the black leather (not patent) Clichy in my size, but see here that they'll probably be impossible to find now.

I have found a pair of the black leather Pin-Ups for a decent price. Do you think they are comparable to the Clichy or should I just wait until the Clichy's are available again? Patience is not my forté.

They are pretty much the same except for the grosgrain ribbon detail correct?

I would be getting the 4" heel as I wear a size 35-35.5 & that height is even pushing it for me not to be walking on my tippy toes!

One more question about sizing for these. How do the Clichy's run? Would I take the same size as say my Chanel's?

I don't see a great deal of difference in the 4" versions. The 5" seems to have a different profile.

Update. Just called Christian Louboutin London and they won't be getting any 5 inch pigalle's in (I saw Jade's which are gorgeous and had a hankering for them) but they are getting the Clichy's in, in mid to late Sept. Not all the colors have been confirmed yet though they will definately be getting the black patent. Another possible color is a sort of grey flannel but that hasn't been confirmed. I cannot wait!! I forgot to ask....does anyone know if they do a waiting list or if thats necessary?

yes that sounds quite nice actually, sort of a demure 5 inch Clichy. I imagine it would just be a sort of dove or slate grey and just be sort of "soft" if you know what I mean....could be quite sexy librarian....
