These look like a Clichy, but the toe looks a but too rounded to be a Clichy. Any clues on the designer / shoe model?

They look like these but with a higher heel. Where is that picture from?

The pics are of Jessica Alba from the photoshoot she did for Zinc.

Those look like 5-inchers, which was why I thought them to be Clichys. But if you look at the 2nd pic, the toe is less pointed in an elegant triangular shape.

Is there a similar model to the Clichy called Pi-something? Pigelle?

What is the difference between the pigalle and the clichy? I know that you can get the clichy in either a pointed or round toe and in black patent, with a 4 inch or a 5 inch heel.

Prep, I agree, I would wear them to work with a skirt of pants, no problem. I'm going to be all about sky high heels this fall, would love the 5 inches, would be the first time in my life that I am 5'8.

stupid question: Do you pronounce it: clee-she? or?

I think they're same shoe but the pointed toe is called the Pigalle and the round is called the Clichy. That's what I gathered from all this conversation.

Clee-she, it's a city or something in France. How do you say Pigalle? Ive been saying pee-gal-eyh

thanks for the clarification everyone. Think I might call Louboutin in London tomorrow and see if I can order the clichy there or not, or what the deal is. Unless someone already knows whats going on with the clichy in London?

speak to amanda, the manager. i used to work with her in harvey;)

I literally thought as I was opening this thread....I should talk to leyla. before I call leyla, did you know the price in pounds of the 4 inch and 5 inch clichy's?

meg i dont know the exact price anymore but i know they are not that much. i.e. reasonable for a good classic shape ;)

I believe they are around £300-£400.

My lady and I actually went to the London store this afternoon. - Since before this thread started, we have been trying to track down Pigalle's and/or Clichy's with the 5 inch heel. Most places only stock the 4 inch heel version, and I believe that the 5 inch versions are generally only press shoes (although I've got the impression here that you can get the 5 inch heel versions in some of their US stores).

Our visit to the store today was because I found they had a limited number of 5 inch heel press sale shoes. I can tell you that they had a pair of light blue patent Clichy's in a size 40.5 with the 5 inch heel. They also had several satin Pigalle's (the pointed toe shoe) in sizes 40 and 40.5 in Dark Purple, Bright Pink and Bright Blue.

We purchased a Pink and White pair of these:

They are quite stunning shoes and my lady looked great in them (and had no problem walking in them). I'll try and post a picture of them at some point.

All the above press sale shoes are £125, but most show signs of wear. You need to phone and ask as these shoes are not on display in the shop, and they don't promote the fact that they have them.

:woot: I bought these a few weeks ago, still haven't gotten a chance to wear them (too muggy and hot here in NY). Natural python clichy, but with a 4" heel (I'm not much for stilettos, but I had to spend a fortune on these babies!)

I don't really understand this at all... but I do know that I wear a 40.5 and I can afford 125 quid... is there any way that you can have them posted to you? Because I can't quite make it to London... =\

Wow... aligator clichy.. seems soo beatiful, but way too pricey for me. Hopfully I can get my hands on a pair of normal leather ones :)

style/cut/toe much better than these:

They really look like two different models to my eye, even taking the higher heel into account.

^ I was just thinking that, they're different shoes. The top is the round toe pump (General name) Im thinking.

Look at these Pigalle, ugh, gorgeous. These are the four inchers, by the way.
