Yup.

There is no shoe on earth worth more than $100 or so based only on materials and wearability. I don't care if it's gold leaf and diamond encrusted, $800 for shoes is ridiculous.

This could be said for everything.. Why do some people pay $20000 for a handbag? Its not worth it but people pay for the brand.. I love the CL's because of the designs, colours and the fact that they look SO good on feet.. But I went to a shoe sale with shes that were $600 australian ( after 50% off!) and they were hideous!

Yeah who knows really but I like CL's but wouldnt spend the same amount on another brand.. ( I do not have any yet but am planning on it in the future)

To me, wearing a pair of Louboutins is worth £400, but the actual cost of the product, no, nowhere near.

What I mean by that is that besides the style and level of workmanship, I just love the feeling of wearing them. It's difficult to put into words, but when the postman arrives with nearly £500 worth of shoes, nothing comes close to opening the box and trying them on for the first time - I get so excited, far more so than for a pair of Dunes I might have ordered.

Then when I try them on, then go out in them for the first time it's the same. I absolutely love it. I've probably owned about 15 pairs of Louboutins in my life, and the novelty never wears off. I just love wearing them, getting the compliments and wearing what I think are beautiful looking shoes.

I probably sound like a total moron, but that's how I feel. The feeling of wearing Louboutins (and other expensive designer shoes - although less-so) is worth £400 to me. Obviously Messer Louboutin can laugh his way to bank, the actual physical peice isn't worth that much, but just having the prestige of a pair of Louboutins is a premium I'm happy to pay.

Having said all that, there's still a limit for me.

I just bought a pair of Tigresse espradrilles, they're really nice and pretty comfortable too, so I'd recommend those.

mhh i dont know. i NEED to try them on first, mostly cause the heel is so high i need to 'feel' them. i rarely buy extremely high heeled shoes online as i need to see if i'll be able to wear them... hopefully they'll have them in stock around here and i'll be able to buy them.

mistress_f send netaporter an email ( their fashionadvisor) and luisviaroma asking them about the new fall collection and whether they will be carrying that style that you saw on saks. They would reply to you immediately and you would be notified with its arrival. The reason why i prefer netaporter or luisviaroma it works best for me rather than ordering it from the US, I only order from the US when its a pair that differs from EU and the rest of the world. CL US has much wider collection than in CL EU and rest of the world.

I have a question does anyone see the christian louboutin ad at the TFS ? the one that says louboutins for 179US dollars only? i am a bit suprised that the TFS is hosting that ad.

Yes, Dulcisima, I've seen quite a few CL ripoff ads - at the moment I have Christian Louboutin Stor [sic] but have seen others too. I'm surprised they appear - I don't mind so much if they're advertised as replicas or CL-inspired, but when they try passing them off as originals it makes me angry

I remember when I used to have a website with Google ads you could block certain ones, surprised they don't do it here particularly as it could mislead forum members.
