i downloaded the song to my iPod 2-3 weeks ago. i was surprised people haven't heard it yet, at least in nyc. i thought it was an old song. well, needless to say, the feelings mutual. the song rocks!

I'm really trying hard to not spoil myself for this cd. I don't want to hear it till it comes out, I'm going to ignore all leaks, I've only heard Violet Hill so far. I've done that before, listened to a cd I'm really excited about before it comes out, and it totally kills the joy of buying it and putting it in the day it comes out. I've decided I like Violet Hill quite a bit, because it's new and not at all like X&Y, which I really did not like much My favorite album of theirs is Parachutes, hands down, full stop. They could make another Parachutes and I'd be a happy girl But I'm excited for the new one.

My favorite album was A Rush of Blood to the Head followed closely by Parachutes... I agree X&Y was a little lacking for me, with the exception of a few AMAZING songs (like Fix You & Hardest Part) that kept it from being bad.

Agreed: with iTunes, the experience of buying a CD and hearing all the songs, not just the one you bought it for, is gone. Sad indeed.

I definitely buy stuff off of iTunes, but man, there is nothing like buying a cd and having it in your hands, reading the liner notes when you listen for the first time. My cd collection is ridiculous. Actually, I need to buy Parachutes again sometime because I lost the actual cd when I put it in a case with a bunch of others and misplaced it I have an emotional attachment to that cd, plus I just love all of the songs on it so, so much. But excited for Viva la Vida etc!!

love the itunes ad for it as well...

i guess they are doing a promo - buy one song and get another one free...
to encourage people to buy the whole album because they think it must be heard together...

Yeah, I finally gave in and listened to Viva la Vida after seeing the iTunes commercial and I think it's already up there on my list of favorite Coldplay songs. I'm so excited for this album, I just know it's going to be better than X&Y

That's my hope,too!I loved some songs really much in that album like swallowed in the sea,what if and x&y but overall was not as good as the previous ones,so i hope this one is gonna rock!!

Ok, so i just cheated and took a listen to the new album. It's their worst album IMO, don't get my wrong it is GOOD and there are a few great songs on it, I just think they are trying really hard to be a band they aren't, Long live PARACHUTES and A rush blood to the head

I listened other songs of the albume and i am a little dissapointed...But just a little ...Chinese Sleep Chant and Cemeteries of London are great,though
