Okay here's the deal, I haven't eaten meat (besides fish) for way over a month now. But like a week or two ago my face broke out pretty bad and I can't figure out why? I've been eating really good and exercising. But then I thought I remembered hearing that like when your body detoxifies or whatever your face breaks out because it's getting rid of impurities? Also I got a facial like the day after my skin broke out and I bought some products that my facialist recomended so I have been taking care of my skin and drinking water (I only drink water cause I hate sodas) Has anyone ever heard of your skin doing that or am I no remembering right? Thanks :flower:

For the last 3 weeks I've been eating healthy, excercising and been drinking diet soda only once a week and diet snapple and water the rest (super healthy you know) and my skin is worse than it's ever been! Every morning lately I have a new zit! I never used to get zits either. Looks like I'm not alone, and I wonder why this is? What products did your dermatoligist recommend? I've been using Neutrogena which doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm ready to try proactive because they are just multipling.

Hello Bonchic,

yes you're right, when you're eating much healthier then usual, the body starts to detoxify. Everything bad it has accumulated over the years in the fat tissue, connective tissue and elsewhere starts to come out, because your blood quality has become better.
And often this can't be handled by the liver or kidneys alone, so the skin is used too..

But detoxication is in fact a good thing, because when your body gets rid of these unhealthy substances, the result can be a much better health than before. I've gotten rid of allergies, skin problems (also zits) and many more. But I had some problems with this process in the first time too.

But this is only helpful if you manage to stay on the healthy side in the future. Else, you will have these problems again and again..

The best help for your skin now would be something which helps to get those harmful substances out of the skin quickly. I've made the best experience with some old fashioned soap made of olive oil and lurel oil. This Soap is alcaline and these harmful substances ar mostly acidic, so it pulls them out. And the laurel oil keeps the skin soft. Actually, this soap is the only product I'm using on my skin now!

You can get it from shops with natural cosmetics. Other soaps may work too, but only if they are alcaline (most modern products have a 'neutral' pH-value, which is totally useless!)

omg thanks sooo much! My skin seems like it's starting to dry up/clear up now. I'm so happy too because it was kind of depressing to be eating and doing the right thing and have your skin break out soo bad. I'm using Biodroga and clinique through the week and I'll get another facial in about a month or so. Thanks for your "Words of wisdom" lol I really appriciate it! :flower:

yeah it's frustrating isn't it.. But mine is doing better now, not perfect but much better

Bonchic, no need to worry. Whenever you change your eating habits, exercising, etc your body has to get used to it.

My hubby and I cut out all fast food as of jan 1 and I have noticed a tremendous difference in our bodies. I am cooking healthy foods, steaming vegetables, baking fish, adding liquid chlorophyll to our water and juices and it has helped out. I noticed my hubby got a huge zit on his forehead....it's the impurities coming out of your system.

Same with exercising...when you first start...youre muscles are all sore but once your body gets used to the regime you can do it with ease.

Bonchic, good luck with the change....stick with it. :flower:

thanks so much I know it's worth it and that the longterm benifits outweigh all this stuff right now. I'm just happy I found the reason:woot:

Really happy to hear this!lol!I've stopped eating fast food etc also, mainly since ive become vegetarian and just recently ive been getting nasty spots! But i'll stick to this advice and keep up the healthy ness!
