Creme De La Mer

pretty sure that there is at least one thread on this if you search for it christann...:flower:

i bought one for my mom.. she hasnt been telling me about any "amazing changes" that took over her skin or anything like that, so im assuming that its not THAT nice..

I have used their whole line about a year ago. The only change I have noticed was that my checking account shrunk after purchasing thier so called Miracle cream. I think it's a waste of money. Since, I have been using Biotherm Skin Care the whole line costs abot $90 (Cleanser, Spf 15 day cream, night lotion, eye cream) and lasts forever, and works a million times better than La Mer

I don't know about the facial moisturizer, but I use their Eye Balm (which, I was told, has three times the "magic broth" in it), and I can't say it's all it's cracked up to be. Yes, it's nice and emollient, but do I notice anything different when I wake up in the morning compared to the old ones I've used? No. Personally, I wouldn't dish out what they're asking for it. Thankfully my best friend works for Estee Lauder so I get it really, really cheap.

My friend told me shes been using it...after I complemented her on looking unchanged after ten years. It seems to work for her, but now I am trying to research it too, before I try it.
I dont have wrinkles, but I do want to prevent the sagging from coming on.

Hi!
I wonder if anyone can recommend a site that sells Creme de la Mer products+do international shipping. I have tried to search the net, but I haven't found anything :(

I started using La Mer last November and it has dramatically improved the appearance and texure of my skin. Nothing I've ever used has made such a difference and believe me, I've tried 'em all! I have combo skin but when used correctly as they instruct you (warming between the palms and pressing into the skin) it's not too rich. The body lotion has given me baby skin!

When I get some money I am soooo using it..but it's really expensive isn't it? I'm using clinique right now and at $130 Australian dollars a pop (3 step skin care and face sun screen), for a 14 yrold..even that's a bit much! Is it true that it's really expensive?

i have always had combination skin and frequently breakout. After using LA MER, i have noticed a DRASTIC IMPROVEMENT in my skin. After my friends, sister and mom saw the improvement, they all went out and got la mer. Now they're all devotees! (and one of my friends is the cheapest girl i know - she won't spend more than 20bucks on a bag!)

I tried it once, and really didn't see any difference. Personally it seems just as good as stuff you buy at the drugstore...at least in my case.

Creme de la mer is luscious the first time you apply it..... its like shampoo .. but after the first time its so and so... I've now been using nivea soft moisturiser which I see as basically the same thing to creme de... but better.

I think it's ridiculously overpriced for something that gets such mixed reviews!

by chance I have began using La Mer - we were on holidays skiing and I underrated the power of the sun at the glacier. So my friend gave me La Mer as a "survival treat" and believe it or not, it worked out just fine. When we came back I told myself why not investing in good skin care if you makes you feel good and happy? Well, I did and never regretted it. I am not saying that La Mer is the best for everyone, but for me I can say it's makes me feel good.

I have been using it for some time now. I'm 30 and not a crease or a wrinkle in sight. In fact, my SA just shipped another jar out to me recently. I highly recommend if you want to keep your skin radiant and wrinkle free (I use it with other products as well though). Of course results won't be obvious right away, with any kind of skin care, it takes time to realize that it's working for you. The fact that I'm not showing any signs of aging while many I know are...is a big plus for me.

Once I used it at my boyf's house (his mom had some out on the bathroom counter- ) and I thought it was neat. Its rather good, but still too much $ for me...

the scary thing is since it came out there are creams that are way more expensive -- like $500 a jar!! anyway, I think it's a nice moisturizer (but a heavy one -- not great for oily acne prone skin), but that's it. and since it was purchased by estee lauder I wonder if has the same "integrity."
