Curly Hairstyles - Making Curls

I just did my fave hair for going out...SJP curls!
I use these funny red foam sticks that I refer to as the sausages
lol. I find the curls end up prettiest when you use the sausages in damp hair.
So what you do is section you damp hair that you've sprayed with some leave-in conditioner/whatever you want that adds shine and some hold, take a section about 4 cm wide and wrap the ends of your hair around the sausage - and then you roll it (tightly!) all the way down to the roots, and then you "tie" it.
It looks like some kind of bizarre mid-90's hairdo

I sleep in curlers... that's the only way my hair takes a curl.
I remember my senior prom disaster... I went to the salon with my normal straight hair, and they could NOT get my hair to keep a curl with heat.. I went with half straight, half-curled hair. Disaster.
I wear my hair up most of the time, but it always looks like a bit of an updo with it curled and up.. love it that way.
