Daily Exercise

5 laps of the park with the dogs, and then running after them at the park when they decided they wanted to cross the road to follow a puppy home.

^

50 min vigorous walk
5 mins of running after the walk and I pretty much collapsed

I need to start again, I hate starting because you feel so out of shape, I've been doing the push ups and sit ups, just haven't been able to run for my half an hour in a month, because right after I get out of school I work, and end up getting home at twelve, don't know about you guys, but I don't really want to be alone outside at midnight running.

I try to go for a run first thing in the morning - though it's still dark then in winter it's not as scary as being outside at midnight. Actually the park is swarming with other runners and dog walkers, six o'clock is kind of a jogger's rush hour. Maybe you could run your half an hour in the mornings, too?

^^ I'll have to give that a try and stop sleeping in until 9:30 AM lol. I wake up at 8 so I could easily just get up go outside and run, instead of just watching tv for that hour and a half. Nothing good is on ever early in the morning anyways.

Thanks for suggesting, I kind of had it ingrained in my head that I must run around evening time, why? I don't know.

I rode a bicycle in the park for 30 minutes.

I rode from 11h30 to midday, and i didn't eat before, so my preassure was low when i got home, i sweat and felt nauseous. but now i'm good.

^^ It is actually pretty good to eat before you start exercising, I don't mean right before you exercise but maybe an hour before. I like eating pasta before I exercise, if I don't eat anything I feel like I'm going to collapse halfway through then in return it damages the exercise because I end up going painfully slow.

tgeezyband, I love running in the morning because then you cannot possibly have already an excuse not to go, but in the evening I probably have a hundred  (read that in a politician's interview once and found it to be true!)

The important thing are the glycogen supplies in your muscles, if you have eaten enough carbs the days before exercising, it shouldn't actually matter that much that you haven't eaten during the hours before, the food that's still in your stomach isn't of much use anyways. So, yes, it's important to eat before exercising but you have to start sufficiently in advance.

Yeah, I tried to go for a run directly after breakfast, taught me a lesson, too :D

ran around the track 20 times this morning, now on my way to a one & a half hr power yoga class

20 times around a track? Goodness, that's about 5 miles if it's the kind of track I am thinking. Good for you!
