well i do like watanabe's versions... the fabric also looks different, maybe softer. it's almost like felt

and lightness for denim, that is the new change that is needed i think i am always turned off by the stiffer denim--denim is not just work clothes anymore

I think the new direction in denim is similar to what Watanabe showed, a trouser-cut pair of jeans. You can only go so far w/ the washes and how skinny they are, and now it's time to be classic for a minute before we start washing it all over again.

those watanabe trousers are cool but they dont look very flattering or sexy, they are interesting though....but yeah the whole skinny jean obsession is now overkill officially.

I agree that skinnys are getting annoying..
I just wear straight-legged jeans nowadays. I find that they don't require too much, if you know what I mean.

Am I the only one who loves skinny jeans and wants them to stay forever? I like how high-waisted jeans look in theory but when I try them on I look like I'm wearing a diaper or something. Not a good look.

well again...like with skinny jeans...you have try on tonnes until you get the right fit...obviously your trying the wrong high waisted jean, also another thing they arent so prevelant , it will become mainstream probably within the next year or 2, i predicted the same for skinny jeans (which now has reached its peak as a trend this year and will abate gradually as newer styles are on the horizon namely high waisted varieties. Plus people would say skinny jeans were hideous just 4 years ago , nobody thought people would wear them , now look, i predict high waisted straight leg , wide leg jeans will be the next big thing , plus it can be worn by more of the population , skinny jeans look only good on skinny bodies ...and thats a fact...stay tuned.
