haha jesus this thread is basically becoming Part 2 of the Buying/Selling forum on the MSN group...

too bad its way too big. thats my favorite dior piece of all time.

I take a T.44 and can just about squeeze into that jacket in a T.46; it runs very tight.

I was thinking the same.. i thought personal ads weren't even allowed on TFS?!

yeah...it's getting pretty annoying. I was away from this thread for a few days and when i saw it was moving so fast i had to click to see what the hell people were talking about that was pushing it like this...turns out every page is flooded with seller's offers or people asking where to get sh*t...

That's kinda crazy! Maybe the all-black version is different since the 52 I have... is semi-roomy. I WISH that it fit tighter. That's pretty much the only reason I'm possibly considering selling it.

The 54 that I had a ways back during last summer was definitely too large, but that was the gold and black one.

Regardless, it is definitely a gorgeous pieceB)

In regards to this thread turning into a buy and sell place... I'm partially guilty of that. I'm gonna stop and just stick with the buy/sell forum on MSN. Let's keep this thread for discussions eh?:flower:

I got the gabardine black jacket from this season, but I've got too many jackets so it went up on ebay. The quality was actually quite nice. I was very surprised.

There is still good stitchwork and intricacies and even in this jacket, the sleeves were lined in that pinstripe bemberg. The jackets are still cut quite slim. I tried it on while wearing a t-shirt and the arm holes were cut up so high that one of my tee sleeves bunched up. The jackets sit nice, but are a little more generous in the torso (below the underarms). Maybe that's been Hedi's compromise. Since arms don't get "fat" as easily as the midsection does, he doesn't have to really change the sleeves, just the midsection portion of the jacket:lol:

As for the pricing... it's definitely higher than I'd expect for a gabardine jacket. Something like $800 would be good and still reasonable, whereas 920 euros (likely $1300 in the US) is a bit on the steep side. The other jacket that had pricing like that was the strip biker jacket (not the pleated shoulders one) that had forearm zips. I think that was $1500 or more!

EdK stated on the msn forum that the cotton used for the tees is back to the thinner stuff. Not the thick jersey cotton used last season. A small step in the right direction... we'll see how it goes in a week!

I gotta say though, these tee designs are pretty kitschy. The more I look at the "i'm the boy about town that you've heard of", the more it just rings of being just plain outrageous:yuk:

i have the one with "we stole the burning sun..."
in black/white, (a b-day gift)
and i can honestly say that the quality in cotton, in comparison to my other t's s/s 05, feels thicker. Made in Turkey:doh:.

I was just gonna say that. You can't get a word in without "look at this!" "buy this!" I love tFS.

Seriously horrible.

I was just about to mention how this thread is becoming like MSN. TFS needs a mod just for this thread.

I think it's ugly.... and I think you need to upload smaller photos.

The all black version with the semi-separated waistband is a MUCH cooler one.

Plus the colors are awful!

It looks like something a baseball player from 60's London would wear if he was extremely coked up.

yes sorry for the size, but the board won't let me edit my post.

Yes definitely coked up. I was given this actually, and I don't think I'm going to wear it ;)

pretty generous gift. that jacket is like 2,400 dollars. how were you able to get this colorway?

Seriously, what the f*ck? I think the color combination is an utter joke, and a sad one at that, but that's a crazy-*** gift!!!!! What size is it and where was that colorway available?

I think it looks sweet. It looks fun and if you had good enough style and had the confidence you could make it look good even if it wasn't. Sure it's not obviously nice, but that jacket isn't meant for someone who needs clothes to make them obviously look nice. It's for someone who has his own personal style and can make whatever he likes work.

Darn right. The jacket looks s**t hot. :woot:

I've got a friend she often get some invitations for special private solds, and she gave me this as me and my wife had a celebration for finishing paying our house credit.

Thanks for posting, the more I see this jacket in person, the more I can relate to it... not that I´d wear this colour, but if it was like, black on black, why not?
