depending on the cut a 48-52. All my suits are 50 though, and both of the pieces I got from yoox years ago at those prices were 50. I could likely have sized down on the Reflection lambskin detail jacket.

Ah well....

My latest DH acquisition has been the distressed leather jacket from Luster^_^ mmmm so rugged!

Although I do believe in the evolution of a clothing line and a designer's vision, I don't really view Hedi's recent creations as such. It's just jumping all over the place with such a drastic change from this season to next!

I guess it's just a sign to not just follow a single line so diligently. Take from each collection what fits YOU instead of buying a collection because you identify with the COLLECTION.

In that sense, I can thank DH and Hedi for allowing me to finally explore Ann D, Rick Owens, Carpe Diem etc.:flower:

Great for you! Can we have a pic of the jacket pls?

got this pic from a friend, check out the kid on the right totally decked out in dior homme, what a fashion victim, hes one of the nerdiest kids ive ever seen.

everything is SS 06 cept the sneakers which are ss 05, and i think hes wearing the suspenders too! :O

Maybe he is doing it consciously, like looking like a geek on purpose and making dior look bad on purpose. Maybe he plays the role of a fashion victim in the movie and is just dressing the part.

I cant imagine anyone looking in the mirror (looking like that) and thinking they look good. IMHO

It seems like he needs some smaller sizes, it's all so... baggy.
Indeed, it is very different from the runway, or anything on a magazine, rather odd. I know people were once mentionning wearing DH differently, but for some items there's just no way around it I think: this jacket needs to be close to the body. He seems to have a rather slim body, he could pull it off.

The other odd thing is, don't those celebrities-type have stylists? If that's the case his should be fired for letting this happen, or be the source of it. IMHO.

Damn... Yoox is not discounting prices of DH by much these days! I remember getting the Reflection jacket with leather cuffs, waist and epaulets for under $600! My reflection leather upper collar wool blazer was $350 on yoox!!!

That's not the same jacket I'm trying to sell now is it?

A little bit in defense of this guy who was wearing the black hussar jacket; the prototype for the show was EXTREMELY snug and the arms intentionally cropped for the show for that shrunken look, in the stores, the arms are a regular length and it is also a little looser-cut, it does run a bit bigger than an average blazer jacket. There's no size smaller than 44 in this one, so it might be the case that he already wears the smallest size available as he is of fairly short build.

yeah but why buy something that doesnt fit? then you buy it just because the label and not because of the look.

Okay this pisses me off. If they are going to show it snug and tight on the runway, why do they have to change it for retail?? It is really misleading and defeats the whole point of having a runway show. In my opinion, clothes should fit as they do on the runway, specially when you are paying thousands of dollars for it.

I was actually saving up to buy either that jacket or the red baseball one. Now I'm afraid it might not be as tight as I would like it to be since I am quite skinny.

I would say, save your judgement until you can try it on in person. As far as the actual runway proportions are concerned, it's been a common habit with Dior that all of the clothing from head to toe is made-to-measure to fit the boys, if you are lucky, the actual production clothes will fit you as well as seen in the show, but chances are tight, especially for those with superskinny build (as you may know, the clothes that end up in the stores are more forgiving than what you would have to suggest from the runway shots, basically an attempt to be able to sell the collection in bigger sizes than 44 and 46).

It's maybe thanks to the Japanese Dior boutique buyers that they might change the policy a bit for future seasons - they are currently talking about re-proportioning the 44 to fit more adjusted than the other sizes to resemble the "original" look, the first attempt was already to introduce an even skinnier jean for this coming winter collection that is by far tigher than the 19cms (which I would say, are lightyears away from being called a drainpipe, they are just a slim pair of jeans).

^Good news! Hopefully this will be the end of buying women's jeans, since those size 26's ones are impossible to find, specially in the US.

26 jeans is crazy small

I'm going to London this summer and I was wondering where the best place to be is to buy DH stuff... the Dior store or Harrods or...?
