i know what you mean..

the petite sizes fit perfectly.. until you pay attention to the oerall length and the length of the sleeves.

hard for me to say if they even fit perfectly.

it flares out slightly (for your hips) at about my waist.

also, were the armholes also smaller? I don't mind them too much, but at DH prices I think they should be a little smaller.

I kind of like the idea how some of the jacket's sleeves on the runway are a little cropped, exposing the wrists, it does demand however for an overall smaller armhole so that the proportions don't look off.

I never tried petite taille shirts but keep on being frustrated with the regular fit, it's strange how a 37 collar still has these wide-cut arms, it's unlikely that a person who would wear such a small size would have big arms as these...unless you do excessive weight lifting...

Premiering at Cannes festival 2006 is Daft Punk's directorial debut Electrorama...

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, Daft Punk's Electroma, is "a psychedelic musical and visual odyssey that follows the fate of two robots in their quest to become human." It's the pair's debut as directors, though they did collaborate with Japanese director Leiji Matsumoto on the 2003 animated film Interstella 5555.

----------------------------

Anyways, the relevance here is that no other than mr.Slimane himself designed the new leather space suits for our two favorite robots (and possibly other cast members). Can't wait to see the movie, being a big fan of both the music and (obviously) the clothing !

that makes sense because the san francisco saks carries it. the neimans in dallas doesnt carry it, but i guess dfw doesnt really "have the market" for dh.

Is Saks carrying it again? Last I checked (maybe 3 months ago), they had dropped DH as well...

I don't think that is it. The Dior-Chanel Jacket has black on the wrist an pocket as well, no buttons (not showing at least), and the black detailing is a different fabric I believe.

That's cute...are they going to be around $4000 as well, just like their Chanel cousins?

Very similar. Do you know the price?...it would be a good alternative to the Dior version if it is indeed much cheaper.

Tricot could give you more help on this...but I believe he said it was to be priced at around 900 Euros.

You are absolutely correct, it's been less than 1000€ on the pricelist... don't ask me for the exact pricing though, I am currently missing the pricelist...

Size conversion

How do men's and women's pants sizes differentiate? I love DH, and I've been debating whether or not I should buy a pair of jeans, but I'm not certain of what size I'd wear. DH is well known for being slim cut, and I've seen women wearing coats, but not necessarily pants.

^I don't see why women would choose to buy Dior Homme jeans when there is a large variety of women's jeans out there to choose from. I believe they would fit awkward on women around the crotch area...

Perhaps, but I have a pretty narrow, shapeless body. I've always enjoyed wearing men's pants, and I thought that investing in a pair from a great brand from Dior would be worthwhile.

It can work, if you really are that type of rather boyish-build female with rather androgynous features... I have personally had really good feedback from women wearing the jeans, those black velvet "Nouvelle Jambe" (19cm top, 21cm bottom) jeans from F/W 2005 look really stunning on women with just a pair of the simplest black pumps, very chic in fact... just add a shirt or one of Hedi's tux blazers and it's basically a modernized, yet truest Yves Saint Laurent interpretation you can have these days (no wonder the man himself favours Hedi as his successor).

Rest assured though that the jeans are VERY long on sizes 28" and up, whereas all sizes below are 34" lengths. I would also advise you in case of doubt to take the next size down if you are in between two, as the denim will get softer from wear... unless you want them to look sort of "borrowed" from a boyfriend.
