I'm going to London this summer and I was wondering where the best place to be is to buy DH stuff... the Dior store or Harrods or...?

there is no Dior store that sells mens, Harrods and Selfridges are the best shops.

...and Browns, although the rack isn't that big. Selfridge's has a pretty large booth. Carries pretty much just as much as the standalone DH store in NYC... just kind of crammed in there hahaha.

For another store that's pretty neat, check out Liberty.

Hello I have never had the pleasure of owning or even trying on a pair of dior homme jeans. I finally saved up enough money to buy some and was curious which season if im loooking for black skinny jeans would be worth the price in terms of quality, durability, fit and of course chicness. Any other fashion brands or suggestions are fine. I just want a really nice pair of dark dark black jeans with a very very slim fit that are interesting.
thanks
jon

S/S 05 for the black canvas skinnies.. although they are not that skinny..

For other brands.. Look in the Acne Jeans thread @ Designers & Collections

Also the black votc cords. They are skinny. Not really "jeans" but really really good pants.

Take a look at the 'carbon drill' jeans on luisa via roma.

First of all, if you're in the market for super skinny jeans, Dior Homme isn't what you want. Here are some other options:

Tsubi - Super skinny unisex jeans, the most popular style has zips at the ankle and a distinctive stitching detail above the top right pocket.
Cost - about $300. You can get them at Barney's, Tsubi stores or a number of boutiques.

Acne - Pretty nondescript skinny jeans, kind of boring. Cost - Around $200. Available at Barney's, Seven New York and numerous other stores.

Siwy - New York-based jean company offering a lot of washes, including a solid black non-distressed version. Although they're women's jeans, anyone can wear them. Cost - Around $200. Availabe at Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bendel's and almost everywhere else.

Cheap Monday - Swedish jean label. Dirt cheap and great fit, if not a little high waisted. Cost - $80. You can get them at very few places in the states, although they're available all over Europe and online.

Hope that helps!

Some great jackets on ebay right now... Too bad they are all in size 46.

Word. Looks like someone has lost faith in the brand and is dumping their collection!

Hi Faust,

Can you please give me an approximate price range DH jeans run for at those Neiman outlets? Thanks.

I'm gonna see if I can go to one maybe this weekend, i think i remember meister mentioning there being one in michigan.

Johnny, I just saw the sweater at brownsfashion...its alright, don't know if I would pay 200 pounds for it though. The hooded sweatshirt is quite interesting though, but again definitely not worth that price.

dh at neimans outlets? since when does neimans carry dior?

General question. Do sizes from the old collections such as Luster and VOTC run smaller than those of the current collections? Would a size 46 fit like a 44?

Thanks

It's hard to tell in general, but from my experience, no. I do have a blazer from "Follow Me" which I think runs quite according to current season sizing, the only pieces I know of running smaller had been the dress shirts, they were cut wider since Luster on, aprox. one size up.

^ they used to, but don't any more, at least not the San Francisco store.

that makes sense because the san francisco saks carries it. the neimans in dallas doesnt carry it, but i guess dfw doesnt really "have the market" for dh.

dress shirt sizing sucks for me.

37 is good but not great, and the petite sizes are way too short.

wish it would revert back

i know what you mean..

the petite sizes fit perfectly.. until you pay attention to the oerall length and the length of the sleeves.
