It can work, if you really are that type of rather boyish-build female with rather androgynous features... I have personally had really good feedback from women wearing the jeans, those black velvet "Nouvelle Jambe" (19cm top, 21cm bottom) jeans from F/W 2005 look really stunning on women with just a pair of the simplest black pumps, very chic in fact... just add a shirt or one of Hedi's tux blazers and it's basically a modernized, yet truest Yves Saint Laurent interpretation you can have these days (no wonder the man himself favours Hedi as his successor).

Rest assured though that the jeans are VERY long on sizes 28" and up, whereas all sizes below are 34" lengths. I would also advise you in case of doubt to take the next size down if you are in between two, as the denim will get softer from wear... unless you want them to look sort of "borrowed" from a boyfriend.

omg, you know so much. are you working with dior homme?

But, what about the croch area? I remember my wife trying a 30 (from Luster), and the croch area was visibly protruding. Maybe smaller sizes don't have that problem?

Perhaps, but I have a pretty narrow, shapeless body. I've always enjoyed wearing men's pants, and I thought that investing in a pair from a great brand from Dior would be worthwhile.

i have a narrow, shapeless body as well (in addition to a penis) and a dior 28 hangs from my hips with excess fabric in the crotch and ***. if i were you i'd just get some skinny women's jeans.

dont want to blow up any spot but what is the deal with the leather bomber jacket on ebay right now?

Eluxury has a number of DH items on sale for pretty cheap right now. Not a lot is good, but some is alright!

It does depend on the fabric and the style, I guess... I happen to see different types of women wearing the jeans in different ways... some wear them intentionally with the crotch part hanging low, in a tomboy-ish manner, whereas others (mostly my customers) wear them a bit more fitted... you have to count on the fact that some fabrics break in from wear and that they get softer, so taking that into account, you gotta go for the size down, rather than the one that you can easily fit. The fabrics/washes that work best in this manner are the orange overdyes, the distressed velvets, the glitter/holograms and the stretch metallics from this season.

I recently bought this polo shirt from S/S06 collection and the first time I wore it 2 of the little 'crystal' studs fell off. I am so mad!

But it looks so nice! How much did you spend on it?

$400.00

I spent last night trying to stick the little things back on with some crazy glue, hopefully they will stay put! It is a nice shirt, but its a shame I am afraid to wear it now fearing more will pop-off. :ninja:

Haha crazy glue might ruin the shirt. I would be carefull next time.

is there a new fragrance from Dior Homme?? I tried something on at the new store in Los Angeles and I really liked it!

What happened to this thread? It was once very active... Did people just move on.. or ?

It needs to be resusciated.. :ermm:

it's actually quite odd. I'm not sure what is happening with the brand in terms of interest and demand anymore. If you look at the selling prices of things on ebay, it's all over the place. Zero consistency, and things that used to generate lots of money, now don't at all.... weird eh?

personally, i've lost some interest in dior homme. i mean i still love wearing it but i feel that it's lost some of its exclusivity. now every old fat *** with some money is trying to buy into the asthetic.

It's unfortunate that Dior has lost some if its allure, but I think that it happens to any successful brand. Along with brand recognition comes mass production and marketing of the initial product. Although Dior Homme was meant to cater to a niche market, it has become so well-liked that it doesn't make sense for LVMH not to push for a wider consumer base.

I think the brand may be overexposed, but there has also been a lot of testimony about declining quality... not just bits falling off, but the quality (or lack thereof) of the leather jackets, for instance.

A bad combination.

So it seems like this thread is not going to be revived anytime soon...
