FYI there's a chain belt on ebay.fr, and it's only 180 EUR (err for the moment  )
there's also a Chiffre Rouge
and a faded jean in 28
Would you happen to know how much the belt went for? The faded jean is the highly sought-after bleu clair from Strip.

^^ The Strip silver chainmail belt ended going for 605 EUR, the seller did have zero feedback though.

Good afternoon :flower:
The chain went for 605 EUR (38 bids) which is A LOT on ebay.fr, where most of the items (even the most exclusive ones) usually go for cheap (I mean: way cheaper than of the us website)

confuess

is this the actual 04 destroy jeans? y is it only damage on 1 side?

That's a pretty interesting pair you've got yourself there...

I do remember that there were a number of "custom" ripped Strip jeans for sale on yahoo auctions Japan soon after Strip came out, but they were usually very easy to distinguish because the ripped portions were not repainted like the real deal was (those were distressed, and then coated with the black paint and thus all the threads and loose bits were "glued" down with the paint).

This pair seems like it was distressed and then painted as well and on the closeups, the denim treatment looks nice and uniform like the real thing as well.

It could very well just be a pair that slipped through quality control....

Sometimes I regret selling my pair of Strip ripped jeans hehe:blush:

even though I almost never wore em.

I have the original of this one -- it first appeared with reflection. Only the upper lapel and collar are leather, and it's an understated effect. It's a great jacket, but this particular one has the dimensions of a dior coat in the same size, and indeed feels more like a coat than a jacket with the dimensions as well as the fabric, which is a thick, coarse wool. If you want a sharp blazer to wear with a dressy top, you'd be better off (IMHO) with something else I think (any of the black blazers from VOTC for example, or Spring 05). If you're looking for a warm blazer you'd wear like you would a coat (I wear mine over fairly thick sweaters, american apparel fleecies for ex), this is the ticket.

Yeah exactly, I think the first time it was made the complete lapels were leather and I wasn't that much into it...now it's a little bit toned down and fits my style better. I guess I want a new sportscoat and I'm not too sure what to get. This one seems like an interesting option as far as DH is concerned.

BTW since you're in Montreal you probably tried the grey cloak military vest with the slanted pockets, I think this one is totally killer...

Seems like the belt is being sold again on ebay US and the seller has hidden his reputation... :ninja:

The one I saw was definitely a lighter blazer (super 100 maybe), the size 36/46 was really tight on me, even for dior (like a blazer not a coat). The description you give sounds more like the full collared leather to me. So many versions of everything we kinda get lost trying to compare our findings

BTW the one you have seems pretty cool, nice rugged blazers are hard to come by.

Actually, the first version of it was in Solitaire, and it seems likes it was made of either a worsted wool or an odd wool blend. The thicker wool felt version was made only in Reflection (I had it for awhile), and like you said, was cut more like an overcoat in proportions besides the jacket length. They also made it in the short 1-button version for SS05 (which I currently have) and SS06.

Yes, quite odd concerning his feedback (something to hide :innocent: ?)
Quite odd he's reselling the belt THAT soon after having paid a quite important amount of money on a belt (which is in my opinion georgous, but totally unwearable. Even if I was given one, I wouldn't try to wear it in my town in order not to be thrown rocks  )
Anyway I think some rare items are surprisingly going for quite cheap on ebay (you can't imagine how much I regret having paid more than full price for the cords pants)
Maybe we'll have some nice surprises :flower:

How much did those retail for? The votc ones.

Lately, one pair (29 or 30, can't remember) was sold for something like 90 EUR (VOtC, sand ones)
usually they go for 150 ++

[EDIT:] Damn, some beautiful items on ebay right now, too bad nothing would fit me
a pair of suede short boots (i LOVE them, which collection is it from? TOOO BAD it's a 41, one or two size down and it could fit me)
some suits
etc etc

The funny thing is why make his feedback private when it is zero anyway - but at least the pictures are decent.

Then again you can't be too careful on eBay, with the recent auctions of DH 'holy grail' items (napoleon jacket, etc.) that turned out to be scams.

I am also suprised that people aren't snapping up the votc cords!

Another suprise for me was that this luster three charm leather belt in a 85 only went for $250USD recently, thought that it would fetch at least 3-400.
