^I have to say, the D&G jacket is FAR worse than the Dior Homme version. Yes, both are extremely Michael Jackson, and rather unoriginal, but the DH jacket seems to at least have a twist on it that makes it likeable IMO. The cuffs and the toned down (in comparison to michael's) embroidery renders it superior. D&G was emulating Michael's as well, but that jacket is just hurrendous, and the fact they were a season late makes it all the worse. Not only are Dolce and Gabanna emulating Michael, but they are copying DH emulating Michael.

D&G is just rubbish, though, isn't it?
Sorry, yes IT IS. Anyway it was the King of Pop who inspired Mr. Slimane, the Dolce & Gabbana version seems a bit an awful rip off and at least Hedi borrowed from a musical genius, not from the latest season collection.....

I think both Dior and D&G jackets are ugly in their own right, I'll give them that.

No no, the Dior Homme one selling by a Korean. 2005 S/S one.

By the way, there is a japanese brand called as HARE which produce clothes like DH in a very cheap price, but the quality is quite good. I bought a wool blazer from them which is only 150USD. It's quite nice and the cut is even slimmer than DH. I need to wear size M which I can fit it a size 44 in DH.:woot:

Didn't look like a tux to me. Normal lapel and buttons. Almost the same reference number as my own jacket and my jacke is definately not a tux.

How much did you get it? I saw many one-button short jacket in Tokyo's 2nd hand shops and most of them only cost around 80000 yen.

And i really love the one I tried, a one-button short jacket with 2 different style on each side, one is like the normal one-button, the other side is like a tux. A little bit like MM's work but it's a DH. Costs 220,000 yen....only has size 44...but a bit small..maybe i was wearing a think wool jumper at that time. Wants it badly...but 220,000 yen...:(

Anyone has that?:woot:

Do you mean one side has grosgrain or satin lapel and the other lapel of the same fabric as the "jacket" fabric? And the same thing going on with the sleevebuttons? Sounds weird :)
I bought it at around 650usd I think. Not quite sure, but around that.
But 80000 doesn't sound that bad to be honest. However 220000 sounds pretty much :) I really want the short tux from SS/05 myself, only got the thicker from FW/04 but it's too hot to use in the summer. For me those short-jackets are the definite instant-DH-look items.

I was going to bid on that, too. Oh well.

Regarding the "Michael Jackson jacket", I don't like either version, but D&G's version is beyond ridiculous. SO tacky and overdone, and it looks ridiculous on their beefed-up model.

I have a bunch of stuff from VOTC and S/S 05 on eBay in XS/28/44 if anyone's interested.

I remebered it's the same material, just the style of 2 sides are different. I didn't take a brief look on sleeves. But it looks so unique which my girl said it's very nice too. (she don't really like me in the one-button one, i don't know why, she said it looks weird in that length.but i'm not short at all)

but a 220,000 yen which is a huge amount for a 2nd hand jacket, maybe due to its avaliability in the market. It's the first time I saw that cutting for Dior Homme, but it supposed to be an authentic item since Japan's 2nd shop policy is quite strict. B)

I agree with you Mag, I will go for the S/S version which is thinner than can be wear in all weather. Wool is too hot. Esp. in Hong Kong. :o

Maybe he sold to someone who offers a very high price. At least higher than the $750 I offered.

BTW, I'm selling a leather on ebay too, a size 46 one.

It's like the combined of these 2 jacket, the left side is like the first, and the right side in like the 2nd one.

BTW, this nonjing.com produce jackets like DH...which the tag inside the colloar looks exactly the same....

how much do you weigh/height? I want to know if a size 44 would fit me. Also, how thick is the cotton safari jacket you're selling?

I weigh around 120 and am 5'8, wear a sz 26-27 in DH. I'm iffy about sizing, size 48 is still a bit large on me, i've never tried a 46, but once i tried on a dsquared jacket that was sz 50 and it fit perfect.

I'm around your height and 130. I'd imagine it might fit you. I listed measurements on the auction; do you know your measurements? It's supposed to be a spring/summer weight jacket, of course, but it is definitely a sturdy fabric. I could not wear it during the summer here.

Issa, that's crazy that your jacket has 28 inch sleeves. That's one of the things that bothers me about DH; the sleeves are almost always too long. Take this runway shot, for instance. If the sleeves are too long on the model, they're probably going to be too long on most people. And sure enough, the one time I've seen this jacket on eBay, the sleeves had been shortened...

I'm 5'10" and 138. wearing 29-30 in jeans. Size 46 is a bit big for me, so I would go for 44. My arms are slims and legs do too.

Alex, no no, the sleeves are 26", it fits my chest but the waist is a bit bulky to me because of its elastic hem.

BTW, i'm quite into longer sleeves than shorter. But of coz with elastic hem.

Oh, well if I'm looking at the correct auction, it says 28.

The S/S 05 one-button short jacket has been relisted. ;)

By the way, i just send a mail to the websit i posted for searching a short jacket. Let see what will they find.(it's free for searching!!)

I always wanted one of those cutaway tux jackets that these people are copying, it´s such a fabulous item... but a big no to counterfeits, it just isn´t the same :/
