Dior S/S 2010 : Karlie Kloss by Steven Meisel

Aww I love it!Adore it,adore Karlie!!!It`s just so sexy and so chic!I can`t wait to see more!Hopefully in VP Feb 2010 we`ll see more... ; )

OMG i have been waiting for this all week , looks gorgeous surprisingly
the mood and lighting fits the collection very well and karlie looks great (although she isn't my favorite)
cant wait to see more

The ad turned out better than I first thought...Karlie looks surprisingly nice.

Dior hasn't had a decent ad campaign since Spring 2007 [Gemma Ward by Nick Knight]. Basically, since Nick Knight left, they haven't had stellar campaigns.

Bring back the days of Gisele and Kate by Knight, I say!! :innocent:
Wasn't it shot by Craig McDean?
I don't like this and the eyebrows look bad on her.

Karlie looks way too photoshopped, I can barely recognize her. I really don't understand why that did that, she looks way better without all the photoshop.

I like the setting and the lighting, the outfit and the bag. The only thing that I hate to say is Karlie's stare is somehow not suitable here, it should be done more gracefully.
I  Karlie but her stare is not working here.

there is something that i really dislike about it.. maybe its karlie, i really hate her face expression

This looks fantastic! I love it! I especially love the lighting effect and that signature death stare/Lauren Bacall aura makes this ad even more beautiful. I don't see anything wrong with this. :D^_^ And yes, Karlie has come a very long way. This is big for her. And I have been waiting for this since they didn't have a campaign last F/W season. Thanks honeycombchild for the scan! :flower:

WOW, Karlie is gorgeous! Definitely Karlie at her best. Love it!

I really like the ad. It's much better than I was expecting, it was such a pleasant surprise to open my copy of Vogue UK this morning and find this on the first page, it's lovely.

I'm not even going to start again with Dior nowadays, it's like kicking a man when he's down.

I know-_-

I like that Karlie is in this, but it doesn't deserve her really. She's a great model and I just feel this ad is a little too dull to do her any justice. And I don't know if it's the make-up or the photoshopping, but she doesn't really look like herself.

I don't know, it's not awful - but it just really bores me (the colours, the lighting, the clothes.) I guess I already knew how I was gonna feel about it, but unfortunately I haven't been surprised:(

Congrats to Karlie. Dior still means you're most wanted when you get a campaign, so good for her.

BUT, why is every single campaign I have seen so far so incredibly demure, lifeless, sober and static. Where is the life, the color, the vibrance and the Summer? The only campaign that injects some energy into the first 100 pages of every magazine is Lanvin thusfar...boo for this entire season.

I'm happy for Karlie and I think she really suits the whole 40's style etc. (Those eyebrows! That expression!) Not to mention, the light in here is simply brilliant.
But... there's something majorly off with her face (the nose-mouth area especially) I blame photoshop -_-

But really, I just don't like that Karlie, who I consider such a girl, is here portraying such a woman as Bacall...it's uncomfortable.

Aye, I like the ad, but I find myself stopping short of making the comparison to Bacall, because I'd feel bad typing it, like my fingers were committing blasphemy.

Yet Bacall herself was just a girl when she starred in her first film. Because she seemed like such an accomplished femme fatale, we tend to forget that. Bogart took good care of her.

^Exactly. I would say that Karlie's definitely channeling Bacall here - very fitting for Dior.
