Discussion: Who Should Be The Creative Director of Balenciaga?

Peter Mulier’s name is literally everywhere and apparently his interview is in a very advance phase as Kering is looking to announce new CD in June during HC week and present first collection in September.

Sadly the fashion industry never paid enough attention to Josep Font. Artistically He has always been the best candidate for Balenciaga.
I agree but I’m not sure Josep Font would achieve commercial success at Balenciaga, I think the role is more likely to go to Nicolas Di Felice.

After the Demna move to Gucci, I would forget about all the "serious" names being proposed here (Josep Font, Galliano, Daniel Roseberry) who could honor the legacy of Cristóbal Balenciaga.
I think it is going to be someone who can continue to provide buzz and a little controversy following the steps of Demna.
I can see Ludovic de Saint Sernin.
Also Casey Cadwallader.

The sad part is with Demna going to Gucci whoever enter to Balenciaga (unless is someone new) will leave another brand, and this game will keep going on and on forever...a true domino effect.

sad and terrible...

I went to a Balenciaga store a couple of weeks ago just for laughs because I would never spend money on Denma crap, but it was just oversized sneakers and clothes with rips and made from what looked like garbage bags and trash. There were some actual clothes, but I just don’t get how anyone would spend money on it. So I am excited for whoever takes it over and hopefully fixes it.

I wonder if he will stay at Alaia then?
