Dita Von Teese to Perform at the Crazy Horse
WHAT A TEESE: Dita Von Teese is returning to the Crazy Horse.
The burlesque artist was the first guest to perform at the Paris cabaret in 2006, with Arielle Dombasle and Conchita Wurst among those following in her footsteps.
Von Teese will perform “Dita’s Crazy Show” at the venue from March 15 to 30, which coincides with Crazy Horse’s 65th anniversary.
She is to wear Zuhair Murad’s designs on stage. Von Teese is also to don shoes by Christian Louboutin, who collaborated with the Crazy Horse as a guest artistic director in 2012. (Von Teese and the shoe designer teamed up on a lingerie capsule collection already last year.)
She has worn Murad’s creations on many occasions, including this year at the Cannes Film Festival and at the MOCA gala.
“In addition to performing new acts of my own, I’m also pleased to present a curated selection of my favorite classic Crazy Horse acts to create my ultimate ‘crazy show’!” Von Teese said.
She is to perform five acts, one of which is a new creation conceived and directed in collaboration with Ali Mahdvi. Sébastien Tellier composed the music.
